Backdoor Processing is the best job for introverted individuals
The good thingsAs an introvert, I loved doing backdoor processing as I didn't have to deal with customers and I also loved how flexible the work schedule was for part-timers; clock in whenever you are available and try to achieve the maximum 59 hours per month target (no minimum hours, you get paid by how many hours you clocked in).
The challengesAt first, I was not used to standing for long hours but after awhile I got used to it. I also did not enjoy how often HQ updated SOPs for the processing of new stock and how the new upper management at my particular branch handled things. Part-timers were treated as convenient scapegoats for the full timers' incompetence. The work politics, drama, scandals, favoritism and hypocrisy that I witnessed firsthand was wild. I didn't realise how colourful working in sports retail could get.
