    People and Culture Intern

It was an amazing experience working here. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for growth.
The good thingsI appreciated how supportive and patient the team was during my internship. There was strong mentorship and good collaboration within the team and the company overall. Many employees were friendly and approachable, which contributed positively to the overall work culture.
The challengesThere were limited company events or team-bonding activities during my internship period. More opportunities for casual interaction or team engagement within the company would have made the experience even better.

    Constant and steady growth
The good thingsI’ve got the opportunity to work under Iherng Media and it has given me a lot of insights into content creation, social media marketing, learning to make videos more engaging. My boss also prioritises flexibility of working from home so the whole team is able to have work/life balance. I have also notice personal changes in me whereas I’m more brave to communicate and more confident.
The challengesThe job is repetitive but at the same time we will also need to explore and try new things as social media trends constantly changes. So being able to adapt is crucial.

A good place to grow practical skills and learn project management in a real working environment.
The good thingsAs Project Manager at The Makeover Guys and it was a fast paced and hands on working environment. The role requires strong coordination and problem-solving skills because every project and client situation is different, so you learn to handle issues quickly and make practical decisions on site. The team culture is quite supportive and collaborative, especially between sales, designers and project team members. Everyone works closely to deliver the project smoothly and communication is generally clear. The management team is approachable and open to feedback, and there are structured processes that help guide daily work.
The challengesThe job can be challenging due to tight timelines and coordination with multiple parties, but it also allows you to gain real experience in renovation workflow, client handling and contractor management.

A great place to grow and gain hands-on experience, surrounded by genuinely supportive people who make the challenges worth it.
The good thingsThe people here truly make the biggest difference. A positive working environment really depends on who you work with, and I’m lucky to have teammates and leaders who are not only supportive, but also genuinely caring. The relationships I’ve built with my colleagues and leaders have made my overall experience a great one. I’ve always felt trusted in my work, and that trust gave me the space to grow, take initiative, and learn leadership and team management. Because of the people and the strong culture of mutual respect, this job has been one of the most valuable learning experiences for me.
The challengesWhen I first joined, the lack of solid SOPs and clearly defined processes made things a little difficult to navigate, especially as someone new to the field. I had to learn everything from the ground up, which was challenging, but having a supportive team and leaders who actively guided me made a huge difference. Over time, I was able to contribute to building and aligning the processes, which not only solved many of the initial issues but also became a key part of my personal growth. There is still room to improve the structure and workflows, but it’s heading in a good direction.

A rewarding journey of growth, learning, and support in a collaborative environment.
The good thingsWhat I appreciate most about working here is the collaborative and supportive team environment. I've been given the opportunity to explore various areas of marketing, including performance marketing (something I had not been exposed to before). This has allowed me to learn, grow, and challenge myself to expand my skill set. I also value the guidance and knowledge shared by my seniors, which have contributed greatly to my personal growth and professional portfolio. Lastly, the positive company culture and the trust placed in employees make this a truly motivating and enjoyable workplace.
The challengesIt was challenging at first, especially starting with zero knowledge in certain areas. The learning curve was steep, but over time, I managed to follow through and adapt. While it wasn’t easy in the beginning, the experience has helped me grow, and I now see these challenges as valuable opportunities to become better at what I do.

Fun team, great culture & always something new to learn
The good thingsI really enjoy the culture and the people here at The Makeover Guys. Everyone is supportive, collaborative, and passionate about what they do. As a People Development & Engagement Executive, I get to face different challenges every day, and I love that each one gives me the opportunity to learn and grow.
The challengesThings move quickly at The Makeover Guys, so I’ve really had to sharpen my ability to adapt to change. But it definitely keeps things exciting and has pushed me to grow professionally.

They made work fun & dynamic! While many dread going to work, we found joy in the workplace.
The good thingsI have definitely learned a lot throughout my journey as a Strategy Consultant. The company takes pride in fostering a culture of inclusivity and innovation. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that most of us come from diverse backgrounds with very different skill sets. For instance, I have an architecture background and became a Rental Sales Consultant; you'll find an engineer who has become a Senior Designer and a linguistics student who is now the Manager of People & Culture. This acceptance of varied backgrounds, openness to ideas, and supportive management style truly impressed me. The management is always open to us exploring and experimenting with new ideas, as long as they align with the company's vision and goals.
The challengesThe fast pace of changes within the company. These frequent changes require a high level of adaptability and resilience. Being able to quickly accept and ride with these changes is crucial for contributing to the betterment of the company. While it can be demanding, this dynamic environment also provides valuable opportunities for growth and learning!

Only serve as good stepping stone to your career. Not advisable to stick around too long unless you have good relationship with the leaders. Otherwise you can only raise it up or pray you receive the compensation that you deserve.
The good thingsAlthough my overall experience at company was challenging, I'm grateful for the mentorship and support I received from colleagues who provided valuable guidance.
The challengesWork hard, play hard Constantly been pressured to perform at all times Sycophantic work culture Reactive management where frequently resulted in last-minute changes and ad hoc decision-making, leading to unnecessary overtime work. Lack of perk and benefit that truly useful to you despite there are many. Not to mention its parking fees does not cover your full petrol and parking cost. The office location often posed challenges due to heavy traffic congestion, especially during off-hours, making it extremely time-consuming and frustrating to leave the office premises and usually stuck more than an hour. Food are expensive in the area

    Under appreciated needs better leaders
The good thingsWork environment is flexible. People there are "nice".
The challengesCulture can be very toxic, leaders need to do more and really listen to their employees better. It often feels like my opinion doesn't matter and is never heard i've had my superior laugh at my concerns when being expressed before. Leaders are often never on ground to be able to see what really happens between departments. Workload coming from the design side can be too much to handle and often rushed (onsite work during the day and paperwork until 1-2am), but worst part is there is no understanding and team work from other departments, often designer/MC is the one who needs to solve everyone's problem eventhough the problem originated from other departments. Worklife balance is non existence, you work from morning onsite and work until the late hours of the night doing paperwork but again all this is unseen by the leaders. When things go wrong, often blamed for it is the design team.

    Great company with great people
The good thingsI like how the culture has been all of the colleagues are easy going and fun, and at the same time has the attitude of get things done, and at the same time very passionate about their work. And the top management dont have that bossy attitude, can be friends with any1.
The challengescouldnt keep up with the boss's expectation, if you are only doing within your jobscope, you will be fire soon. you are expected to do more than your jobscope. As rental consultant u need to do marketing / business development / admin job.
