Poor Management, High Stress, and Extremely High Turnover
The good thingsFrequent event and celebration, staff cafe offers meals at affordable prices, good company benefits
The challengesI worked at Time Energy (solar industry) under Time dotCom. I was hired as a Finance Specialist, but in reality had to manage full-set finance, procurement, and stock inventory on my own. Although two interns were eventually hired and later converted to permanent, manpower remained insufficient and there was no proper team structure. The company operates with limited manpower, forcing employees to handle multiple responsibilities under tight deadlines, which creates constant pressure and stress. Management talks a lot but rarely follows through with real action. Employee turnover is extremely high, within half a year, MANY employees resigned. Workload concerns were ignored, and management instead questioned employee efficiency. Long working hours were common, including late nights and weekends, yet there was no fair compensation despite the heavy workload and sacrifices made. Some systems are still manual. Overall, the work environment is overwhelming, stressful, and unsustainable.

Looking for a good workplace? It's definitely TIME
The good thingsTime dotCom is a fantastic place to work. The company's commitment to innovation and employee growth is truly impressive. The culture is dynamic, fostering collaboration and creativity. With a strong focus on work-life balance and competitive compensation, it's an ideal choice for career-minded individuals. Proud to be part of the Time dotCom team.
The challengesTime dotCom is a great place to work, but one challenge is the limited parking space. Aside from that, it's been a smooth and enjoyable experience.

    Right place at wrong time
The good thingsReally enjoy the working environment here with supportive team and superior. However, I landed this job at a bad timing which is during MCO period and it sort of affected my performance. However, really enjoyed working here.
The challengesThe initiative of PIP (Performance Improvement Plans) is a good initiative but the practice was made on a wrong time as target were not changed despite the sales were heavily affected by MCO.

Beware of what you are applying for
The good things-Above-average pay -Insurance that covers your family
The challenges-Your boss will nano-manage you 24/7. Basically, everything is your fault. -Management will treat you like a God, expecting you to solve the impossible. (Giving you unachievable KPIs and non-sense review by your boss) -Few departments are not even helpful and always push away responsibility. - The blame culture is strong here. - No career growth at all. The only thing you would learn is probably playing politics with other departments. - Management often doesn't know what they want.

Not my best place to work
The good thingsGreat benefits and salary package. Nice office and meeting room facility. The cafe sells good coffee and food too
The challengesMicromanaged from the management. No project management process and methodology have been used. Very traditional and not efficient in terms of project update and reporting- using only manual excel sheet tracker which been saved in the sharedfolder and to be updated by everyone in a very short time.. So much time spent in preparing slides just for excalation process which makes the escalation is not healthy. Very weak matrix. PM doesnt have authority in leading and managing project.

Good but actually not that good
The good thingsGood Benefit, Average Salary, company working environment is good, most colleagues are nice and helpful.
The challengesUnable to utilize proper project management skills. Systems are very manual, tedious, and not automated which requires heavy transformation to suit current technology/trends. No investment in proper software or system to ease employees' work, using free meeting software that requires to log in and out multiple times in a meeting. Some department's management create multiple chat groups in WA to take attendance, update leave - to track what time employees start work (but never track when the employees end their work which is always late at night). No work-life balance, always setting extremely high expectations or KPI that unable to achieve. Management just wants followers, ideas are not being able to express freely. Tonnes of updates/reports that have to do manually to update different teams yet unable to solve the issues projects are facing. Very heavy blaming culture, when issues happened all individual are finding ways to defend themselves instead of solving issue collaboratively. Also, very silo working culture, every department would not want to sit together to come out with a solution. Very limited career growth as the work is repetitive and most time spent on fire-fighting.

One of a kind Internet Broadband Company
The good things- Salary is great (may vary based on experiences) and payday is always on time. - Opportunity to learn different task and to enhance your current skills. - Training is provided on occasional basis whenever available (mostly available only to corporate and leadership roles). - Monthly salary is good. - Smart casual attire in the office. - May provide electronics such as laptops, earpiece (headphones), and corporate internet broadband for work (depending on your role). - Independent working environment. - Remuneration is decently high (Did I already mentioned about salary already? Well, it is one of the good things about the company).
The challenges- Poor SOP as it constantly updated from time to time (this impact operational task work flow). - System and application uses is outdated and occasionally crash. - Company unable to handle internet outages with ease (no proper official announcement to consumers, lack of internal communications, volume of inbound calls/emails/chats affected greatly). - May requires working overtime most of the time in TIME dotCom. - Double standard in terms of rating/performance review (no honesty and remorse). - Viewpoint of managements and operation staffs are biased. - No proper work life balance (prepare to spend 9-12 hours a day working). - Opportunity for career advancement is limited. Overall, a decent and good company if you're in for a good payday. If you're leaning towards customer satisfaction and enjoying working for a foreseeable future, I suggest to look elsewhere.

A good challenge if you're seeking out experience working in a fibre Internet broadband company.
The good thingsThe remuneration and incentive package offered is quite decent. May vary depending on performances and bonuses accumulated on a yearly basis.
The challengesWork wise, a little stressful and would require occasional overtime during high volume customers inquiries. There is little to almost no work life balance if you're on a shift rather than a regular business hours. Management may imposed new features and with added promotions from time to time (you're require to constantly be updated). SOP's is subjective and unclear.

    Good Platform to Learn
The good thingsPeople are generous to teach if you approach and wanting to learn. Encourage learning and self-start. Despite a lot of manual process, the teams are structured in the manner they are know their roles and will deliver with slight push.
The challengesre-structuring occurs every quarter with direction changes every other day. it's beyond agile i'd say.

Awesome working culture/environment, unless your superior is my boss..
The good things- Flexible working hours - Open and free work environment - Attractive salary for the perks offered - Casual work attire - Friendly and fun colleagues - Cheap and delicious cafeteria food - Each employee gets a Macbook to do work on - Work travel claims (petrol & toll) - Medical benefits are excellent - Decentralized workspace where getting access to see the bosses are made easy - Resourceful office where everything is just an email away to any department
The challenges- Constant pressure of having to meet sales quotas every month - Old school/backwards thinking of some superiors (STRESSFUL) - Little to no chances for growth and career development - Ridiculously high expectations from superiors Although the good things outweighs and outnumbers the challenges, you need to be strong willed to be able to work here as the small pressures are often the ones that creates the biggest implosions
