    Easy money, little effort, no development.
    The good thingsWork life balance is achievable. Salary is negotiable with your boss. No KPI. No targets. Just datelines.
    The challengesWorking here presents no challenge. It's a company for easy money with little effort. However, you will get nowhere if you are planning for a long-time job here.

    All experiences are good experience
    The good thingsI loved learning. As a research assistant, I got to do just that. I have an excellent supervisor who mentors me throughout my masters. I have learned a lot in terms of knowledge and also experience. I've connected with people from several different universities and companies which broadened my circle of acquaintances and also view towards the research community.
    The challengesBeing in the research community itself is a challenging job. One has to be truly acquainted and love the knowledge one is researching in order to be able to do it perfectly. Very little guidance is given and you need to be extremely self driven. There are no personal benefits but at the end of the day, more knowledge is always a better outcome than working in an environment without challenge.

    The good thingsI learn a new skill, the employer gives the trainee the opportunity to learn a new skill. The trainee are given the opportunity to conduct the meeting. I also able to do administrative work which specify with my education.

    The good thingsUNITEN is backed by TNB and therefore is a solid company with a reasonably good benefit scheme. The structure is clear and the workload is very minimal. Being a syariah compliant company, the 'Masjid' is very active in organising islamic activities especially during Ramadhan and Fridays.
    The challengesThe pace of work is quite slow, so those who are used to working in a multinational company will find working here a bit boring and mundane. The standard of english is quite poor, considering this is a university that uses english and the teaching medium.

    Great experience
    The good thingsThe good thing of this institution during the early days was it introduced and exposed me with various new set of skills and experience. As one coming from the industry, this has enriched my ability to be more analytical and critical and different approaches in thinking. Faculty mates were so helpful and caring to each other and it is almost like a very close family bonding.
    The challengesThe challenges were two folds. One the institution in which I was assigned to was located in a very remote place in Pahang. It was really a challenge as there is almost no entertainment for our family. Secondly, as new institution we were occupied with so many new tasks that requires extra works. However, the challenges motivates me to be more creative in completing the assigned tasks.
