    REGIONAL MANAGER – SOUTH EAST ASIA vacancyTo support the growth and future developments of international provision at an international university, the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) in the UK is looking to appoint a Regional Manager for the South East Asia region. You would ideally be located in Kuala Lumpur and would have responsibility for recruitment and partnership work in the following countries: Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Myanmar.You will work as part of the International Recruitment Team, reporting to the Director of International Recruitment within the International Office in Preston (UK).You will be responsible for driving growth in student recruitment in the region, helping to set an achieve challenging sales targets and manage diverse sales channels, whilst also making a broad contribution to the development of the University’s Internationalisation Strategy. You will be responsible for undertaking recruitment visits, managing exhibitions, visiting schools and colleges and other activities to drive growth in student numbers.The primary responsibility will be for activities to recruit students to the UK Campus in Preston, however, you will also be responsible for developing new partnerships in the region, in consultation with the Director of International Partnerships, and providing full support to existing partnerships so as to maximise progression to Preston.You will be expected to travel extensively within South East Asia.You will be educated to degree level, with experience in sales and/or marketing and self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative. You will also have excellent communication skills. To play a significant role in generating profitable international business for the University campus in Preston from South East Asia, in line with the Internationalisation Strategy,.2. To recruit to an ambitious target3. To develop and manage a portfolio of agents, sponsoring organisations and Government agencies to ensure maximum recruitment opportunities for the University Campus in Preston, in liaison with the Director of International Recruitment.4. To develop and manage a portfolio of International partnerships and ensure that client needs are met and to generate increased levels of profitable business, in liaison with the Director of International Partnerships.5. To work in collaboration with academic Schools and Services, exploring their needs, providing advice and information to facilitate decisions about profitable international activity.6. To use in-depth knowledge of South East Asia to provide appropriate market intelligence to inform decision making about recruitment and partnership opportunities in South East Asia.7. To work with the Directors to increase brand awareness of UCLan in South East Asia.8. To take lead responsibility for the development and promotion of the programme portfolio as required by the South East Asia market9. To provide monthly management performance reports to the Director of International Recruitment including performance against targets and new business development tracking and further reports and analysis as required.10. To work within and optimise the opportunities from the budgets associated with activities in South East Asia.11. To represent the University at events in South East Asia and elsewhere, as required.12. To ensure the CRM system and other associated IT systems are up to date with all enquiries and potential leads and that such are communicated appropriately.13. To provide the use of office/home facilities to carry out the above duties in Malaysia, and as it is a locally determined consultant contract we would require the appointment to already have permission to live and work in Malaysia.14. To undertake any other duties commensurate with the role as determined by the Director of International Recruitment.
