incompetent management team at the branch campus
The good thingsnice campus at Educity at Iskandar BUT heavily under utilized.
The challengesno vision, no direction, no drive. Couldn't care less attitude of the management to the academic staff. Worst than the typical Malaysian civil servants.

Good stepping stone, never go beyond that
The good thingsUsed to be a good university with a great community of staffs
The challengesTop management never listen to suggestions/ideas given by anyone Top management team is not from business background. They don't understand how to run a proper business plan and how to handle employees. No transparency between top management and staffs.

    The Best of Both Worlds

The challengesAdapting to various culture of many different nationalities. But it can be fun and new learning curve as well.

The Jewel of Educity is Shining like a Twinkling Star!
The good thingsState of the Art campus with great facilities and amenities that include the overall Educity. The university practices lean management hence less bureaucracy, so to speak. In house teaching & learning training and professional memberships are provided to the academics. So are to the professional services staff. Opportunities for career development is also aplenty.
The challengesIt is still a small working community and hence you tend to know almost everyone.

    Pay is good but....
The good thingsThe pay is good.
The challengesStudents. Students are their clientele, what the students reviewed or commented on staff, the admins will accept it without any just cause letter or any chance to prove yourself innocent. Be careful.

A great place to start and a great place to settle down.
The good thingsThe good thing here is the professionalism among colleagues. Everybody respect everyone, all things are well managed and according to process flow. Plus, the WiFi is great! We work based on trust and as I said earlier everyone's professionalism is at its finest so the company didn't use the punch card system.
The challengesCommunication is the key to work here, English is their first language. Make sure to sharpen up your English communication as you will interact with many foreigner either students nor staff. Working hour for this company is 8 am to 5 pm, so for me the only drawback of working here is that you don't get the chance to earn extra money by doing overtime.

overall, the experience is normal (like what u get from other company)
The good thingsflexible timing, on time salary.
The challengeswork politics (as you need to be a part of a \"gang\" in order to fit in or you'll be isolated and slandered), no clear role or responsibility being set or explained. more managers than staffs. slow in getting response, emails not being read and assumptions rules.
