Overall, pretty decent and really demands attention and values from an individual
The good thingsIt was project base and requires you to engage with the operators to understand the root of the problem. Encourages cooperation between you and other coworkers as it you are seen as part of the team instead of just another working employee.
The challengesHave more variety in terms of dishes served at the cafeteria, as there is only mamak style food served there. There was no ready made area for interns to work, you have to find yourself an office to work in. In addition you, the equipment is a bit outdated but still fine.

Managers love to escape from problem
The good thingsTough challenges as to accept it as good working experience. The real heroes are the technical staff/team leaders, the managers are not helping at all, THEY ONLY KNOW HOW TO COMMAND.
The challengesTry to learn more of how difficult a non-exec to face overlay tasks and getting accusation of having bad time management.

    Working with Weir
The good thingsIt is a very structured organisation with SOPs in place for nearly everything, proper line of controls and clear direction for the next few years. Strong Management team that helps steer the company, Involvement of nearly all members of the organisation in working on company targets for the year that than gets cascaded and visibly displayed at all departments. Also have a football field !
The challengesBusiness growth is strong and quick hence may require a substantial adjustment of the teams and personnel in accommodating to these new changes especially when it involves a whole new set of business skills. Traditionally a rubber business now into metals and steel and into Power industrial and oil and gas hence the change. Business is under the directive of Group which sometimes makes the call.
