Not good or bad, profit is the 1st priority of management
The good thingsManagement give us a lot of freedom in work, as long as target met.
The challengesAchievement is highly depends on sales or profit made, and sometimes it is really unfair for indirect or support team.

    A Good Company
The good thingsWorking here can be a good experience IF you happen to be assigned under a kind and professional senior. Also, some people can have the chance to be deployed to clients from other countries.
The challengesSome projects (and seniors) can sometimes demand too much from you -- without taking time, effort, and technical expertise into consideration. This, in the end, leads to all kinds of pressure.

    A Decent IT Company
The good thingsMost colleagues are friendly enough to help out. The task are quite challenging since it is the critical field. The management are willing to hear if employee wants to voice out any problems.
The challengesSeveral are unlikely to lend a hand on it. Sometimes have to work dependently. However, each departments have their ways of doing it.

For salary is fine. But there is not career development here.
The good thingsPerfect working environment. Because you can do everything at mid valley .
The challengesNo career development like training, career planning for you. You may learn a lot of product knowledge but it will not help you to get better salary for next job .

    Challenges
The good thingsIt is multinational. They did well in a shared services environment especially of a client such as Exxonmobil which is a U.S based petroleum company. We did win an award from Pikom for the best Business Process Outsourcing Co. They are ideal in the Card Services environment for payments.
The challengesTravelling to Cyberjaya for ten years. Initially going through the U.A environment, ie the User Acceptance Testing. Then going the live environment until things got settled to an acceptable norm. Sticking on for ten years is an evident for no issues or complains, but being able to accept situations such as reporting to a person who seems to clueless to what is going on.

My stint as a Cobol developer
The good thingsThere are a lot of corporate social responsibilities based activities such as movie watching with orphanage and there are a lot of team building events such as Christmas lunch and weekly badminton session. Some of the teams have very good synergy and communication with each other as most of them have been working together for a few years and more. Benefits package are above average.
The challengesThe management and senior developers does not sufficiently convey information to the junior developers. This kills a lot of productivity as requirements are not conveyed efficiently and causing development to be redo multiple times as more often than not senior developers does not convey enough information to the junior developers and we have to work with minimal requirements.
