    Good place for a beginner
The good thingsGood environment to learn things. Because, mostly open source tools/products. As a beginner you have lot of opportunities to learn. You get to work with multi cultured people which helps to learn new people and things. You have opportunities to go and talk to the C level people and voice out anything that you have a feel about.
The challengesPoor process followed in the projects. You might encounter extremely unplanned projects where everything changes every single day. Unfortunately there are some politics in some parts of the company which might demotivate us at times. All these leads to a poor Work life balance.

A reasonable Company to work in Malaysia
The good thingsIt is a flexible organization from a work culture perspective. You have to make your own value while being in the system. The Organization gives sufficient time to any new joiner to prove his worth. If you are a self driven person you can succeed in this organization. Innovation also has its space in the organization culture. Overall a reasonable good organization to work and gain experience.
The challengesBeing a joint venture between Xchanging & YTLC, it has its limitation in decision making process. It is not organized at very high standards, which gives you an opportunity to participate in the evolution of being organized. Very similar to the growing organizations we can find people with adverse thought process, so you have to be self motivated.

    None
The good thingsThe flexible hours and some of the senior management who are actually willing to grow your knowledge and guide you, the location is good (free parking and the park is beautiful)
The challengesToo much of politics among managers, too much of favoritism, you need to belong to an elite group of ppl to get promoted or big money increase. the environment is not conducive at all and the open concept is a total fail. Simple amenities like a coffee machine can bring problems. HR is very selective on who they assist and who they dont. Hardly any opportunities available for career growth

    Political IT company
The good thingsWhen I join, I was under XChanging Asia Pacific and during that time it was the best company with worklife balance and technology provider in Malaysia. The management team was come from MNC background especially my HOD with bring the UK style on working and management. What you give, you get back is the right concept and he also open on discussion and treat people with professional attitude.
The challengesIn 2013 they introduce XChanging Malaysia which is totally different than XChanging Asia Pacific. Most of not valueable staff start playing politic and when come to problem the spirit of the team are lost. The main problem is the country manager threat the skillful people wrongly because some of the staff take credit from other people. Failed on planing and company direction. Only for politicians
