I rather not say, whatever your role, you need to do marketing, even for lecturer.

Prepare to work overtime without payment
The good thingsThey micro manage everything.
The challengesThe management always fight among themselves, because this is family company. When you said you have no experience regarding the task they given to you, for example data science, they will said "You either deliver or quit your job" next day after the task given.

A little things that create a big exposure
The good thingsWhat's good in these company is when I've been giving hundred percent freedom to approach students in the class. Since my core subject is business and marketing, I prefer students to do lot of simulation in the class for better understanding. I found out it is work on me.
The challengesI've been giving several subjects that is beyond my field but I take it as challenge. Along the way, I am learn and take some advice from other colleague which previously taught the same subject. Not only that, I am push myself to understand more and learn through videos from youtube. During the class, I may not be answer all the questions from the students since I'm also still learn about it so I am more to discussion session with the students.
