Good Work Place, Good Colleague, Good Learning Culture
The good things1. You can learn what you wish to learn that can be beneficial to both the company and yourself. 2. You can explore different career paths and have limitless opportunities to grow, and grow along with the company. 3. Big bosses are very nice and understanding. Colleagues are friendly and helpful.
The challengesThe biggest challenge, I would say, is to achieve the KPIs, which applies to all other companies as well.

    Supportive and Collaborative
The good thingsI’m really glad to be part of the SM dept. The culture here is supportive, positive, and working with manager/director has been a great experience. I’m lucky to have teammates who are not only reliable at work but also fun to spend time with—we often OT together, play badminton after work, and even learning together. We work closely together, supporting one another through challenges and celebrating successes as a group. Overall, I feel happy and motivated working in this team.
The challengesWe are encouraged to keep learning and growing through book reading and podcast listening, which is great, but since there is a lot of material and the pace is fast, it can be difficult to fully catch up at times.

It’s a good workplace if you want to keep improving yourself, with opportunities to showcase your abilities. While it can be stressful due to carrying yearly targets, there’s also a great team to work hard and play hard together with.
The good thingsNice working environment, great culture, friendly colleagues, and plenty of opportunities to learn and explore.
The challengesSometimes it can be very stressful to achieve targets, and often strategies and operations need to be adjusted quickly in order to meet them.

YYC Cheras - Bandar Sri Permaisuri, lots of workload but didn't pay well
The good thingsThis is YYC Cheras branch in Bandar Sri Permaisuri, and i worked here less than a year . The only good thing is that you learn a lot especially for a fresh graduate, in a high pace environment.
The challengeslow pay, didnt worth it. the audit procedure is not sufficient and it is not bare minimum (it is lower than that) doesn't comply with regulation as the assistant manager itself as the staff to do whatever she can, to lower the tax payable. ridiculous bonus payment, only RM100. stingy, bad management

You Will Be Given Meaningful Work But At The Expense Of Having Colleagues And Bosses That Are Difficult To Approach
The good thingsYou will be exposed to various areas of taxation especially transfer pricing given this forms the bulk of YYC's jobs.
The challengesIf you want to work under YYC Pudu HQ's Tax Advisory team, be wary of the following. For instance, their Tax Advisory team's current Director/Technical Expert will harshly rebuke any new/junior employee who asks him questions on the basis that he "does not want to spoon-feed his employees". This same Director also has a tendency to yell in online office chats with exclamation marks and capital letters whenever things do not go his way. To top it off, this Director will give himself an excuse from doing all of the above by privately messaging whoever he yelled at to "hope that you do not take his words as they are because that is how he speaks". Another example is that there is a Senior staff and reviewer in the Pudu HQ's Tax Advisory team who freely uses foul language when speaking to people and in the online office chats. This Senior also speaks disparagingly of any colleagues whom he deems has "wronged" him. The same Senior will even humiliate whoever made a mistake by posting their mistake in the team's office chat group on the guise of posing a solution to prevent it. In truth, that Senior is shaming the person who made that mistake by simply labelling him/her as unprofessional in public. To top it off, everyone in the team especially the abovementioned Director is encouraging the abovementioned examples. As such, if you wish to work under YYC Pudu HQ's Tax Advisory team, you will find it hard to approach your colleagues and in turn, you may be unable to work well with them. This will then lead to your jobs and eventually your career stagnating.

Dynamic environment with lots of growth opportunities
The good thingsTop leaders here are very forward-looking. Lots of growth opportunities created here for people who are willing to put in the work and also humble enough to listen when feedback is given. Managers are encouraged to genuinely understand the strengths and weaknesses of everyone in the team and play to each other's strengths. Good place to work if you are open-minded, willing to try new things, and interested in disrupting the way traditional accounting firms operate. Compensation is at least on par with other firms and above market rate for those who can perform.
The challengesVery fast-paced, but if you are proactive enough to raise concerns and ask, management is usually more than willing to explain the rationale behind their decisions. You will probably feel very frustrated here if you are not even willing to try and understand why changes are happening. Not a suitable environment if you are very resistant to change, have an entitled mindset, or just want a 9-5 job.
