A lot of construction knowledge and experience that I gain here
The good thingsWork Environment here is very priceless and all the staff is very open minded. My first mega and iconic project. And also the first iconic bridge in south east Asia. New land mark for the state it self and our country.
The challengesNeed to independent in any tasks, and find the best solution in your own way. But it can build your confidence and communications level. Communicate with suppliers, consultant and authority to find the best way to solving any issue.

Tough and challenging but really a great experience.
The good thingsYou can learn so many things in terms of works management, awareness on risks and mitigation measures to be taken by each and individual employees.
The challengesTeam work not so good. You have to learn to do things at your own initiative.

    Once a great company
The good thingsDuring the time of the founding group, under their management this company was a great place to work where performance is everything. Freedom to exercise great ideas and getting rewarded by it. Work hard and deliver, all will be well.
The challengesAfter it was taken over by the new group, the Chairman is playing hands-on when he actually has very little knowledge in Construction and Project Management. The COO is a \"Proposal Guy\" who breaks under pressure. Favouritism is destroying the company. I had a great potential to grow if the Chairman is removed. All of the senior guys have left the company. The company is still standing due to the only reason that the \"Mother Company\" is still supporting them. During then past 10 years it was dying a slow death. In any construction organization, it is always a teamwork that brings it to its glory. But to destroy it, it takes only ONE Single powerful individual to bring it to the ground. In this case it is the Chairman, Non-Executive Chairman. Sorry for Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar, he is not seeing that the people he put to run his businesses is destroying its future.

Terrible working environment , poor benefit, poor management , poor benefit
The good thingsPublic holiday follow KL
The challengesPractice double standard between old staff and new staff. Major changes must be done in order to ensure old complacent staff who are not competent ,lazy and have attitude problems must be controlled . New staff are expected to be very hard working and disciplined always.

The good thingsTop Management giving a lot of space for me to introduce and develope to organization without doubt as long as it move the organization forward ahead from our competitor and group of companies. Some more with huge support from top management to develope and implement new idea for organization.
The challengesDevelope, Introduce and implementation of new idea was a big task and challange to me, where some of the people are hard-headed and with kind of character to get them into the discussion or during implementation.
