A supportive workplace that values employee contributions and work-life balance
The good thingsLeadership is open to new ideas and suggestions, and your efforts are recognised through promotions. Friendly colleagues. Great work-life balance, supported by relatively high number of annual leave days.
The challengesCan't work-from-home without valid reason, annual bonus payout is split with 6 months apart, increment and employee benefits could be improved.

I have gained valuable experience in a supportive work environment with strong teamwork and learning opportunities, despite challenges with heavy workload, low salary, and limited benefits. Ask ChatGPT
The good thingsOne of the main advantages of working in my current company is the very positive and supportive environment. I also have a good relationship with my colleagues, which makes the workplace enjoyable and collaborative. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to learn many new things and gain valuable experience.
The challengesI suggest that management consider improving the salary and benefits to match industry standards, especially given the increased workload caused by not replacing staff who have left. We are handling extra responsibilities with low pay and limited benefits, which can lead to burnout and low morale. Offering better compensation and distributing the workload more fairly would help employees feel more valued and motivated.

Good place to grow professionally, though improvements in compensation and flexibility would make it even better.
The good thingsI’ve learned a lot working here and there are plenty of chances to grow my skills and take on real responsibilities. My teammates are generally helpful and the company keeps things lively with fun office activities which makes the workplace more enjoyable.
The challengesOutdated policies like no hybrid or remote work. The pay is a bit lower than other companies in the industry, and bonuses are split into two payments, which feels less motivating. Not all senior staff are cooperative, sometimes teamwork depends on who you’re working with.

My experience at ZICO was invaluable, offering hands-on exposure, the chance to learn from industry leaders, and an opportunity to grow professionally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
The good thingsInterning at ZICO was a rewarding experience. I gained hands-on exposure to real projects, attended major meetings, and learned from industry leaders. The fast-paced environment, supportive team and strong client base made it a great place to grow professionally.
The challengesOne challenge was understanding complex topics and industry jargon in a short time, especially when working with clients from unfamiliar sectors. It pushed me to do extra research and ask the right questions to ensure I delivered quality work.

    Decent for long term tenure
The good thingsGood corporate culture, the people are generally nice, bosses are forward-thinking and receptive to new ideas. Insurance is extended to immediate family members for certain job grades.
The challengesWearing multiple hats can take its toll, but nothing out of the ordinary. Bonus (if any) is split into 2 payments instead of lump sum, which isn't very exciting.

It truly is a great place to work
The good thingsSome of the things you look for in an organization is acceptance, growth, great leadership, opportunities, work life balance, challenging and exciting work, fun colleagues, open door policy, fairness and safe work environment. ZICO offers all this and more. Having worked here for a while, I can say that I have enjoyed the experience.
The challengesThe company could update some of its policies to be more in touch with newer trends like hybrid working culture.

ZICO stands out as a fantastic company with a rich network that significantly supported me in my entry into the ASEAN capital market.
The good thingsZICO is a well-regarded company that has established a strong professional rapport which greatly benefited me as I enter the ASEAN market for the first time in a professional capacity. This is important for a career where reputation as being trusted is extremely important. The company has a diverse workforce, with employees stemming from various backgrounds (and most importantly hobbies), enhancing its inclusive work environment and the ability to learn the latest news from various areas of the professional world. This is evident from its warm welcomes and the regular activities (e.g. helping out at the local soup kitchen, monthly fruits, etc.) it has in store for its employees, making the work experience both enjoyable and fulfilling.
The challengesCould consider using more experimental SaaS/tech systems to make life easier. Although I understand the importance of using tried and true technology in this industry.

    Learnt a lot
The good thingsI learn a lot from my direct supervisor, she used diplomatic approach unlike other bosses. I had tremendous fun with my teammates, my direct supervisor too. We were fun, dynamic, and have the spirit of teamwork. It is a good place to learn things and learn to manage others' expectations and their attitudes.
The challengesThe culture of the company is really different than other corporate companies, the management and the staffs are still comfortable with old culture and approaches.
