Jobstreet provides various features and services that allow you to share information and content on our platform, including Community discussions and your profile. These Community Guidelines apply to all content you post, share, or upload on our websites and apps, including but not limited to posts, comments, images, profile photos, and other materials.

Jobstreet is a professional platform that connects you with career opportunities and enables you to build your professional presence. Through features such as Community discussions, your profile, and other content-sharing tools, you can share career-related information, and present yourself professionally. Our goal is to provide you with opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed in your career.

Among others, the platform enables you to:

  • share experience, tips and advice about job search, career advice, and learning and development

  • ask questions, provide answers, and share insights about different industries and work-related matters

  • share inspiration and motivation to help yourself and others progress professionally

  • present your professional identity through your profile, including your work history, skills, and profile photo.

  • Positive in tone

  • Relevant to jobs, careers and professional development

  • Helpful and beneficial to the community

  • Respectful of all users

  • Legal and compliant with applicable laws

  • Truthful and accurate

  • Appropriate for a professional environment

  • Is spam in nature

  • Is harmful and dangerous

  • Is sexual, nude or sexually suggestive

  • Is violent, disturbing, offensive or aggressive in nature

  • Illegal, fraudulent, or promotes illegal activities

  • Is insensitive, discriminatory, harassing, cyberbullying, or targeting individuals based on protected characteristics

  • Is related to religion, politics, or an individual’s sexual identity

  • Is commercial, promotional or solicits business opportunities

  • Is an infringement of copyright or other intellectual property rights

  • Contains profanities, inappropriate language or is disrespectful in nature

  • Contains any defamatory content

  • Contains any personal information of an individual such as emails, phone numbers, or addresses

  • Contains drug, tobacco, alcohol or gambling related references

  • Involves or exploits minors in any way

  • Spreads false or misleading information that may cause harm

  • Promotes, encourages, or provides instructions for self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders

When using our platform, you are required to comply with all applicable laws and our Community Guidelines at all times. Please note that your activities and content are constantly monitored by our moderation team and, if found to be outside the guidelines or is otherwise unlawful, we will take action on the content without prior notice. We may also suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion in the event of any such violation.

We do not verify the truth or accuracy of any comments, reviews, or conversations and do not adopt or endorse any comments posted on our platform. The comments, reviews, and conversations are as per your submission and are posted on an "as is" basis and for information purposes only.

If you see content or behaviour that you believe violates these Community Guidelines, please report it to us. You can report content by using the reporting feature available on the relevant content or profile. We review all reports including using our AI-powered moderation systems to identify and address violations.

Please use reporting tools responsibly and only report content that you genuinely believe violates these Community Guidelines. False or malicious reports may result in action against your account.

When you report content, you may be asked to select a reason for your report, which helps our team assess the issue appropriately.

Do not post or share any content that contains sexual language, sexually explicit material, or images that may be considered offensive, vulgar, or inappropriate.

Be courteous when providing opinions and feedback about ideas, users, individuals, and companies. When discussing/reviewing a company, do not highlight or call out individuals by name for criticism.

The use of profanities, threats, violent references, discriminatory or prejudicial remarks, aggressive, hateful sentiments, or racism is strictly prohibited.

Do not share personal or family issues that could lead to disputes or cause emotional discomfort to others.

Keep our community free from commercial promotions and sales. Do not use the platform to advertise, promote, or sell products, services, business opportunities, or other commercial offerings.

Do not share vacancy postings, recruitment solicitations or links to job ads/posts from other platforms.

Share positive and ethical discussions. Do not post or promote fraudulent, deceptive, or unethical schemes, including financial scams or services that misrepresent their legitimacy.

Do not post any content – including text, images, videos, documents or links that contains copyrighted material.

Our moderators will flag and remove any content containing these details.

  • Logos or brand marks

  • Professional photos, graphics, or stock images

  • Screenshots of copyrighted platforms or websites

  • Excerpts from books, articles, or paid reports

  • Third-party videos, presentations, or watermarked assets

Coordinating, promoting, and committing crimes, including scams and fraud, are strictly prohibited.

We do not tolerate any form of harassment, intimidation, stalking, or bullying - whether targeted at individuals or groups. Content that incites violence or encourages abuse is strictly prohibited.

Do not post or share content that promotes, encourages, or provides instructions for self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, or other forms of self-injury. If you encounter content suggesting someone may be considering self-harm, please report it to us immediately.

Any content that depicts, promotes, or attempts to exploit children, will be removed immediately and may be reported to law enforcement.

Post authentic and relevant content and do not spread misinformation, false and misleading content or spam.

Do not use fake profiles and create content responsibly, even if anonymous.

Be yourself - don't misrepresent your identity or impersonate others.

When sharing content in Community discussions, you must not post AI-generated or manipulated media that materially misleads, harms, or infringes others’ rights (including “deepfakes”, doctored videos, and other digitally altered media that misrepresent reality).

We encourage meaningful exchanges in our community, such as information and experience sharing, and peer support.

Do not spam the community with posts and comments that are irrelevant to the community.

Do not post unsolicited bulk comments, as they will be flagged and removed to maintain community quality.

When posting or commenting in Community discussions, do not post or share any content – including text, images, videos, documents or links that contains Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

Our moderators will flag and remove any content containing these details.

Do not highlight or call out individuals for either praise or criticism - it is acceptable to reference the executive management, in a respectful and factual manner, where they are deemed to be synonymous with the company.

Your profile is designed to showcase your professional background and may include PII such as your name, work history, education, and contact preferences. When completing your profile:

  • Only share information you're comfortable making visible according to your chosen visibility settings

  • Do not include sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, banking details, or health information

  • Be aware that profile photos contain your image, which is personal information. You understand and acknowledge that uploading your profile photo is optional. When you apply for jobs, your profile, including your profile photo will be shared with employers with your job applications, regardless of your profile visibility settings. Your profile visibility settings determine who can find and view your profile, including your profile photo. For more information about visibility settings, see your profile settings.

  • By uploading a profile photo, you consent to us processing, storing, and displaying your image in accordance with your profile visibility settings and our Privacy Policy.

When uploading a profile photo to your profile, you must ensure the image is appropriate for a professional environment.

Your profile photo should be a genuine representation of your appearance and must not:

  • Depict anyone other than yourself

  • Be a childhood, baby, or significantly outdated photo of yourself

  • Include logos, emojis, text, landscapes, animals, flags, or other non-human subjects

  • Feature stock imagery, celebrities, or fictional characters

  • Show explicit, sexual, violent, or disturbing content

  • Display nudity or suggestive imagery

  • Contain weapons, drugs, tobacco, excessive alcohol, or drug paraphernalia

  • Include hate symbols, extremist content, or offensive gestures

  • Show gambling activities

  • Feature other people without their consent

  • Contain any content or images that sexualises, exploits, endangers, or inappropriately depicts minors, children or young people

  • Contain personal information of yourself or others (such as government identification documents, credit cards, or sensitive documents)

  • Be manipulated or AI-generated in a way that misrepresents your actual appearance

  • Include copyrighted material or branded content you do not own

  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person

Images that do not meet our technical requirements (including file size and resolution standards) or business requirements will be rejected.

  • AI-enhanced professional headshot created from your real photos

  • Photo showing explicit content, nudity, or suggestive poses

  • Photo containing weapons, violence, or threatening imagery

  • Photo featuring drugs, drug paraphernalia, or consumption of alcohol

  • Photo of a celebrity or another person instead of yourself

  • Photo displaying your driver's license or passport

  • Group photo where other individuals are clearly identifiable

  • Image with hate symbols or offensive gestures

  • Blurry, pixelated, or low-quality images that fail technical requirements

  • Completely fabricated AI-generated face that is not based on your actual appearance

  • Heavily altered image that misrepresents what you look like (e.g., using someone else's face or features)

By uploading an image, you warrant that you own the image or have all necessary rights and permissions to upload and display it on our platform.

You can delete your profile photo at any time, and we will remove all stored versions of the image.

Use your real identity and accurate information to ensure genuine interactions and visibility to organisations. Anonymous or fake profiles undermine trust and may be removed.

Your profile should include your real first and last name.

Keep your profile updated with current information, including job title if employed so peers can engage with you meaningfully.

We may use a combination of AI-automated technology and human review to monitor content and enforce these Community Guidelines. Content that violates our Guidelines may be automatically removed to protect the safety and integrity of our platform.

If you violate these Community Guidelines or applicable laws, we may take action at our sole discretion, including: labeling, limiting visibility of, or removing content; rejecting uploads; suspending access to features; or terminating your account. We may also report illegal content to law enforcement. The action we take depends on the severity and frequency of the violation. Repeated violations or serious breaches may result in permanent account termination. If you believe action taken on your content or account was in error, you can contact us.

You are solely responsible for all content you post, upload, or share on our platform. Before submitting content, you must ensure it complies with these Guidelines and applicable laws, that you have the right to share it, and that it's appropriate for a professional environment. While we provide tools to preview content before submission, you remain responsible for your content.
