"Your resume has been approved" scam

Summary: Scammers impersonate Jobstreet and make phone calls using pre‑recorded messages that claim, “Your resume has been approved,” and instruct recipients to connect on WhatsApp. They also target individuals who don’t have Jobstreet accounts. Once victims engage on WhatsApp, scammers ask them to complete simple TikTok‑related tasks in exchange for daily earnings. The scammers then move the conversation to Telegram, where they carry out the financial scam.

Tactic used: Creating a false sense of reward and excitement. They pressure people to act quickly without thinking about the risks. This tactic is effective because as humans, we are naturally drawn to quick monetary gains with minimal effort.   

Top recommendation: If the communication appears to be from Jobstreet but seems suspicious, contact Jobstreet directly to verify it.
