To become a Chief Financial Officer, you typically need a degree and extensive industry experience. Previous experience in leadership roles is typically required.
- 1.Complete a bachelor degree in finance, economics, business administration, management, public administration or a related field.
- 2.Consider advancing your skills and knowledge with a masters degree, such as a masters in accounting, finance or business administration.
- 3.In most cases, you will have to gain extensive corporate experience related to controller or treasury roles.
