How to become a Commissioning Engineer
At least a bachelor degree is required for the role, and a Registered Engineer status with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is highly preferred. Customer service and project management experience are an advantage.
- Graduate with a degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or another related field.
- Register as a Graduate Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
- Gain three years of work experience including one year of professional career development training under the supervision of a Senior Engineer, taking on commissioning assignments at client facilities.
- Register as a Professional Engineer with the BEM.
