How to become a Housekeeper
Becoming a Housekeeper does not require a degree. However, some commercial employers require certain educational requirements are met before being hired.
- 1.Gain experience through housekeeping recruitment agencies or start offering your services to private employers
- 2.Some employers require having at least O-level or Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) education or higher. This is usually required by professional housekeeping establishments such as hotels, resorts, and leisure parks.
- 3.In certain industries, such as hotels, housekeepers can become housekeeping coordinators. This role offers opportunities for housekeepers with leadership skills to grow career-wise by managing other housekeepers. This path can also lead to starting your own cleaning agency for residential or commercial properties.
