Tasks and duties
- Meeting with potential customers to discuss their needs and make product or service suggestions.
- Answering questions and handling concerns brought forward by clients regarding a product or service on offer.
- Conducting regular follow-ups with potential and existing customers to secure and complete sales.
- Providing feedback to a company regarding customer requirements and preferences.
- Creating and presenting sales reports to company management to inform sales strategies and goals.
- Participating in sales events, fairs and promotions to increase sales and brand awareness.
- Documenting all customer interaction and sales transactions for record and analysis purposes.
How to become a Sales Consultant
There are no standard or formal career pathways or qualifications to become a Sales Consultant. While a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) certification may be sufficient, you can consider further education in sales and business principles to bolster your skills and opportunities.
