good place to build your portfolio; aglow is well known and adds strong experience👍🏻
The good thingsthe colleagues are supportive and friendly, and the workplace feels much healthier now, far less office politics compared to when i first joined😂 marketing is fun and hands-on, with plenty of opportunities to build your portfolio, and the processes are more systematic now benefits wise, i can enjoy treatments with staff discounts, and if you’re suitable as a talent for shoots, you might even get free treatments overall, it’s a great environment to learn, grow, and take on challenges
The challengesdirections can change suddenly, especially when sales drop, and communication could be better during peak seasons since information isn’t always well transferred some shootings can be tricky unless you’re good at building relationships with outlet staff and doctors; otherwise, the process can be quite challenging it can be demanding at times to keep up with the pace and changing priorities, but it’s a good opportunity to adapt and learn

A good place to work with teamwork, laughter, and growth
The good thingsThis company celebrates birthdays and festive seasons, and the working comfortable for me. Colleagues are friendly, and management is supportive and also i like that the company does not allow gossip and this keeps the workplace peaceful. Overall, it’s a nice place with good teamwork and chances to learn. The department I work in is the only finance team that is not boring. We have a lot of funny moments and we work well together
The challengesThe job load can be heavy at times, especially when deadlines are close. Sometimes tasks come in suddenly, which can be stressful

A supportive organisation that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement.
The good thingsAglow Medical Group has many positive qualities that make it a strong and progressive organisation. The management is generally supportive and open to feedback, creating a workplace where communication flows more easily and improvements can be discussed constructively. The company also fosters good teamwork across clinics and departments, allowing operations, HR, and medical teams to collaborate effectively. Its fast-paced and expanding environment reflects a growing organisation with clear ambition, and this growth provides opportunities for the company to strengthen its structure, systems, and internal processes. Overall, Aglow Medical Group shows commitment to improving operational efficiency, supporting staff, and building a more organised and people-focused workplace.
The challengesFrom an HR perspective, many of the challenges faced actually reflect the company’s ongoing growth and commitment to improvement. The rapid expansion means HR plays an important role in guiding clinics to adopt new policies and systems, which ultimately strengthens consistency across the group. The frequent urgent requests from departments show how much they rely on HR’s support, and it highlights HR’s importance in ensuring smooth operations and timely resolutions. Communication gaps that arise from busy operations present opportunities for HR to enhance coordination, streamline processes, & build stronger cross-department relationships. Although the career development structure is still evolving, it shows the company’s potential to intro more organised frameworks in the future as part of its long-term growth. These challenges reflect a company that is progressing quickly and provides HR with the opportunity to contribute actively to shaping its people & company direction.

A supportive workplace that values growth, learning, and collaboration
The good thingsAglow Medical Group provides a lively and supportive working environment where everyone, even those with little experience or fresh graduates, has the opportunity to learn and grow. The company is willing to guide and train employees, especially in finance and accounting areas, where you can gain hands-on exposure to daily operations, budgeting, and reporting across multiple brands. The management is open-minded and encourages continuous learning, initiative, and accountability. Teamwork is a strong culture here — everyone supports one another to achieve company goals. It’s a great place to enhance both technical and leadership skills, with clear career development opportunities for those who are proactive and willing to learn. It’s also a great place to build both knowledge and confidence while working in a fast-moving and positive environment.
The challengesFrom a finance and accounts perspective, the workload can be demanding at times — especially during month-end closing, financial reporting, audits, or when managing multiple entities simultaneously. It requires good attention to detail, time management, and accuracy. However, these challenges provide great exposure to complex financial processes and strengthen analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, which are valuable for long-term career growth.

The career growth path is clear and promising, offering continuous learning and development for those who are proactive.
The challengesThe workload can be challenging at times, especially during peak periods or when managing multiple brands, which provides valuable opportunities to build resilience and multitasking skills.

Used to be a great place to start in, but no more. Credible doctors should stay away, do not be lured in by empty promises and offers that seem too good to be true.
The good thingsWhen the company first started, it truly was an inspiring place to work. The environment fostered growth, learning opportunities were abundant, and promises (related to compensation, benefits, or professional development) were delivered as stated. Doctors were paid fairly with both a competitive basic salary and commission structure, and the strong client pool meant we gained valuable hands-on experience early in our careers. Unfortunately, over time, that positive foundation has eroded. The culture that once prioritised development, fairness, and mutual respect has shifted. Promised benefits are no longer guaranteed, salary schemes have become unclear or inconsistent, and hands-on opportunities have dwindled due to weak marketing efforts. It’s disheartening to see a place that once felt like a rare gem in the industry lose its sense of purpose and commitment to its people.
The challengesAs the company pursued rapid and aggressive expansion, decisions became increasingly driven by short-term gains rather than sustainable growth. External investors were brought in, and doctors’ career progression and increments began to fall under them. Loss of Integrity and Credibility: Despite the founders’ public portrayal of success and luxury, internally, the narrative was different. We became the subject of ridicule in the aesthetic industry. The repeated justification for withdrawing doctors’ benefits—"but we aren’t earning money"—stood in sharp contrast to the curated image of affluence. Inconsistency: Career progression and remuneration have become politicized. Doctors who are threatening are rewarded with pay raises, while those who consistently deliver results with professionalism and loyalty are overlooked. Disparities are glaring—doctors with similar years of experience are offered drastically different pay packages (e.g., RM10k vs RM15k), with no transparent criteria.

A good company can become great by enhancing employees' benefits, such as medical and dental insurance, or perhaps offering hybrid work options.
The good thingsBosses do not micromanage and always promote open, transparent, and positive communication. This fosters a strong company culture that emphasises teamwork, problem-solving, and humility, where I've learned a lot about the 'Art of Communication' with the colleagues and clients.
The challengesIt can be really busy sometimes, especially if a client’s complaint case comes in over the weekends.

The challengesIt is very challenging but if its not challenging, is it even interesting?
