Good Life ExperienceThe good thingsAccommodation is provided with little payment. Almost everything you need for teaching and learning is provided by the company. You can cook your own personal meals or order for food delivery. Wi-Fi and company car are also provided. Just fill the gas.
The challengesIf you wanna build a real connection with parents as a teacher who handle their kids, you can't do so. Everything must be through the management office. No direct communication with parents. No gifts or whatsoever are accepted even as a token of appreciation from parents to teacher.
Working hour is exceeded than what is stated in Employee Act (Mon-Fri 7.30-5.30/8.00-6.00) 9-hours instead of 8-hours, without extra payment. OT only start at 6.00 pm. Break time (1.00-2.00 pm) but you either eat your lunch at 1.00 or 1.30 pm for 30 minutes only by turn with other teachers. In the meantime, you still have to look after the kids while they taking nap. Plus you have to wok on alternate Sabtu (7.30-12.00). A complain to the Dept. of Labour (Subang Jaya) had been made, but nothing change regarding this matter.
Workload is quite heavy (what more during this current situation Covid-19 pandemic) as to maintain the company image as a prestige kindergarten in the area. Sometimes you have to work at night to finish the work. If you are willing to be hardworking plus extraordinary worker without any incentive, sacrifice your free time, you're more than welcome to work here. Don't argue too much and just keep doing your job, you'll be loved.
