It's easy to make a quick leap in terms of experiences in my profession!
The good thingsFirstly, my employer does provide a hostel for those potential new recruits that are from outstation which could eventually save a massive amount of your rental cost! Secondly, the colleagues here are kind enough to share their equipped experiences and knowledge for those who willing to learn and I am glad I get to learn auditing and taxation related-experiences within a short time . A flat level of organization structure make it easier to communicate to my superiors and partners and such event does greatly help to create quick solution when comes to deal with any urgent case or difficult client. Another part of the firm to be praised is my employer does concern about the employees' health by installing a branded water filter which I consider it as a bonus welfare for staff. Promotion would be great within a short time scale if the personnel's appraisal performance is satisfactory or beyond that.
The challengesThe working space here is not as spacious as those bigger firms and the surroundings are quite messy and loaded with files and stuff. Career advancement opportunities are limited here for those who seek a quick career progression in auditing profession in listed companies as our firm merely build relationships with SME clients which the exposures are far different from those listed companies. There are some times that we need to cover those administration job scope as well which supposed to be dealt by other relevant staff due to urgency as the admin staff couldn't handle that much within a short period. The overall perks are not as attractive as a bigger firms but it still a great platform to begin an audit career!
