Capitol Gravure Industries Pte Ltd was founded in 1969 by our Managing Directors, David Kuah Chee San and Johnny Wan Leong Wah. The original business began with the production of conventional gravure engravings on steel bases.Over the following years Capitol has embarked on a continuing research and development program coupled with conservative business expansion. The combination of these factors establish Capitol amongst the leading engraving and roller manufacturers in Asia.In 1993 Capitol made substantial investments in machinery offering technically advanced engraving systems, including automated electroplating lines, robotic laser exposing and chemical etching systems. Further investment in laser technology was introduced in 2005 which places Capitol at the forefront as a leader in the field. Increasing market demand created the opportunity for Capitol to further expand manufacturing and relocate their Singapore base to China in 2001. Apart from the manufacture of gravure rolls, the plant also produces a diverse range of rollers for the international market.Capitol has regional offices in Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, China and Australia and successfully maintains a customer base extending throughout south-east Asia, the south Pacific and the Indian subcontinent to the Middle East.
