    Lead, Teach and Grow.
The good thingsWhat I’ve enjoyed most in this role is the opportunity to teach and design engaging lessons in both English and Mathematics across multiple year groups. I’ve appreciated taking on leadership roles, such as Mathematics Team Lead and English Subject Lead (Years 3 & 4), which allowed me to mentor interns and teaching assistants and contribute to curriculum planning. Beyond the classroom, I’ve loved coordinating school-wide sports events as Head Coach and leading various academic and non-academic programs, which helped build an inclusive and vibrant school culture. Being recognized as a Young Leader through Manchester City Football Club’s “Cityzens Giving” initiative was also a highlight, as it further developed my leadership and community engagement skills. Overall, the role provided a supportive environment for professional growth and meaningful contributions to students and the school community.
The challengesWhile the role was rewarding, there were some challenges with workload management due to balancing teaching responsibilities, leadership duties, and coordinating extra-curricular programs. At times, resource availability could be improved to better support lesson planning and curriculum delivery. Streamlining communication and support for teachers and teaching assistants would also enhance overall efficiency and reduce occasional pressures

Great place to learn and grow in finding your 'Why' in education
The good thingsThe support from management and/or fellow colleagues are great with a purpose greater than any single individual.
The challengesHaving to deal with different children of different backgrounds can be challenging as they come from different communities that have suffered much. Sometimes, the vision of the staff and management may be misaligned.

    A New Montessori Teacher's Experience
The good things- Opportunities to learn and grow as a teacher and person as a whole - Freedom to be creative in lesson planning - Interaction with staff and students from other departments - Opportunities to become a role model as an encouraging guide or leader, servicing and giving back to the community here - Working environment: Supervisors are ever encouraging and are willing to train you / help you reach your potential
The challenges- Shortage in teachers because of the teaching method (despite so, supervisors here are willing to step in and provide assistance at any given time) - It's hard to maintain work/life balance

The good thingsThere are always a lot of new projects happening, whether it is fundraising, education or opening up a new initiative. I like the vision of the company, and staff generally all have a really positive attitude becos of the vision

Great place to stretch yourself and learn new things
The good thingsI find that there is a lot of trust between management and staff - a lot of opportunities for employees, even brand new ones, to strike up new initiatives, try new tasks and experiment with alternative teaching methods. It’s hard to find a school that will let you both grow as a person and try new ideas with students.
The challengesIt is true, work hours can be long becos teaching always requires planning and coordination...same for working in any school I guess. But there is a lot of support given by lead teachers if u ask for it. Can be stressful for a first timer teaching but the reward is rly great/meaningful if you hold on and persist.

    Friendly environment
The good thingsFriendly environment and yet challenging. A teacher job wasn't easy but then by working in Yayasan Sunbeams Home finds me challenging and passionate in teaching. The students love and care has changed me to a good teacher where I have became a well experienced and patience in teaching.
The challengesThe students in this home schooling was not the level that we expected. But as a teacher that is what is our challenge is. To ensure students to understand on what we are trying to bring up to them this is the challenge. I find it it's a challenge for me to overcome this and teach them.

The good thingsMost of the staff treat each other as family.
The challengesNeed to multitask otherwise will be considered as not committed. Most of the employees work until late because of multitasking and they can't finish their work on time
