    Lead, Teach and Grow.
The good thingsWhat I’ve enjoyed most in this role is the opportunity to teach and design engaging lessons in both English and Mathematics across multiple year groups. I’ve appreciated taking on leadership roles, such as Mathematics Team Lead and English Subject Lead (Years 3 & 4), which allowed me to mentor interns and teaching assistants and contribute to curriculum planning. Beyond the classroom, I’ve loved coordinating school-wide sports events as Head Coach and leading various academic and non-academic programs, which helped build an inclusive and vibrant school culture. Being recognized as a Young Leader through Manchester City Football Club’s “Cityzens Giving” initiative was also a highlight, as it further developed my leadership and community engagement skills. Overall, the role provided a supportive environment for professional growth and meaningful contributions to students and the school community.
The challengesWhile the role was rewarding, there were some challenges with workload management due to balancing teaching responsibilities, leadership duties, and coordinating extra-curricular programs. At times, resource availability could be improved to better support lesson planning and curriculum delivery. Streamlining communication and support for teachers and teaching assistants would also enhance overall efficiency and reduce occasional pressures

Great place to learn and grow in finding your 'Why' in education
The good thingsThe support from management and/or fellow colleagues are great with a purpose greater than any single individual.
The challengesHaving to deal with different children of different backgrounds can be challenging as they come from different communities that have suffered much. Sometimes, the vision of the staff and management may be misaligned.
