Perform the planning and execution of audit procedures for client of various industry backgrounds such as trading, manufacturing and coaching company.
The good thingsEcovis is a good place that provided a solid foundation in accounting and auditing. It gave me the opportunity to apply the knowledge I learned in school to real-world situations, which helped me strengthen my understanding and build practical skills
The challengesSometimes, due to manpower shortages, it was challenging to find a senior readily available to guide me when I encountered difficulties during audit engagements. However, this also pushed me to become more resourceful and proactive in problem-solving.

My experience at ECOVIS Malaysia was a mix of valuable learning opportunities and significant challenges. While I gained practical skills in auditing, the lack of structured support and training made it harder.
The good thingsCollaborating with a diverse team allowed me to develop interpersonal skills and gain insights into the auditing profession.
The challengesDespite transitioning from intern to full‑time, I faced a pretty high expectations, which compounded stress and self‑doubt when deadlines and quality weren’t met

The good thingsAble to gain knowledge in job as you will need to do all works by yourself. Repeated training topic over years. You will be 'supervise' by good managers
The challengesStressful, no work life balance, as need to work more than 12 hours in a days, weekend and public holiday. Tight budget control in office. Great intense political environment. Inefficient of management control

Great Internship Experience in HR department
The good thingsI have worked here as HR trainee. My superior did guided me throughout the internship period and she did spent time educating me in term of HR functions, regulations and technical knowledge. My knowledge has gained very much learning from her. She also advising me on my future career. If given an opportunity to work in Ecovis HR dept, I am happy to accept.
The challengesGenerally, office space is small and outdated. However, it is acceptable. Only bus transportation nearby, no LRT/MRT.

    Environment & Management
The good thingsUsed to have fruits break. Flexible lunch time and decent benefit before.
The challengesThe management will not heed to constructive advise rather a lick on a shoe while maintain their high personality to enforce outdated working style. If you are going to strive for success and knowledge, this is not the place. The environment is sick somehow.

Communication problem leads to inefficient results
The good thingsBosses and co-workers do a good job at maintaining a level of professionalism in all conditions. Teamwork is valued and enforced to ensure everyone finishes their tasks correctly and on time. I have learned a lot about workplace dynamics and the importance of meeting expectations.
The challengesManagers and seniors communicate in a high context manner. They will not spell things out for you. If you lack the knowledge and experience, it is better to find those key skills somewhere else. It was challenging for me especially because I had only started as an audit intern who needs experience in the field. Unfortunately, my goal of learning more about audit has yet to be achieved here.

Terrible place to have your intern
The good thingsI like that the company holds celebrations for their departing employees to show some appreciation.
The challengesThey expect too much of you and that you always know what to do. Sometimes they will also give you tasks that you have no idea on how to complete since there are always new regulations in the accounting space. Your seniors are not much help either.

    Learning to the max!
The good thingsThe people here trust me, giving me certain authority to do work with some terms and conditions set by them. No matter how busy are they, when you seriously tell them that \"I need to talk or discuss with you regarding...\", they will reschedule their time to spend the time with you. This is what I called a good management! Definitely a place that I going to miss and remember for whole life.
The challengesHaving and working towards the same goal(s). Yes, everyone has their own objective but at the end everyone works together for one end same result. It is challenging when everyone think that they had better way or some people tend to keep quiet even though they can contribute even 0.0001%. Who says changes can be done in one day? Would expect that everyone will be mature in this aspect.
