Use it for the career boost. Staying = irrelevance.
The good thingsLow pace environment in the city center. Convenient to get to if you live within KL.
The challengesHard stuck on agile as a metric means real work doesn't get done. Feels like the permanent staff have been far left behind in many modern aspects of enterprise IT and seek contractors to balance this out. Near ZERO chance of being made permanent. Increasingly redundant.

    Really good company.
    The good thingsFriendly working environment
The challengesMost materials are heavy machinery and hazardous chemical, proper training must be included. Fortunately, ExxonMobil do provide training for their staff, and its mandatory to join in.

The company is very good at developing talented people, you must have a gut to go out from comfort zone and need to be more proactive and willing to learn anything. Not limited to Technician level, but managing people and effective leadership when implementing project.
The good thingsGood for career development and technical skills especially for Offshore Technician. Able to contribute idea and problem solving skills with engineering department
The challengesNeed to compete with other Technician to achieve good ranking. First, keep good reputation and discipline. Second, speak up or raise concern and idea that can bring benefit to company business especially in problem solving. Last, alway explore and involve with any kind of task, don't stay at comfort zone once you get good appraisal.

Work Life Valance, Good Colleague, High Mentality
The good thingsThe company culture and environment is superb, your idea and opinion can be accepted. Most of employee is very intelligent, independent and have high standard of mentality. Rarely have toxic employee. A lot of outside work activity, a lot of sports competition, have island trip provided (need to pay our self with company discount rate) and a lot of collaboration can be initiated between other teams. The technology are up to date and we able to learn it with given training by specific vendors.
The challengesMost of colleague is very intelligent and competitive, you need to keep yourself up to date otherwise you will be obsolete. Medical Benefit not really good and salary is average but still OK.

    Great company with US culture
The good thingsHigh salary and good benefit if you are permanent staff. Great safety culture.
The challengesToo much depends on oversea graduate. Low rated local graduates. Degree level intern assigned to clerical job. Contract staff treat poorly with cast culture with permanent staff eventhough on same position and task.

    Great place to work for
The good things- No bias in managing people - multinational company and you got to deal with many people - The perks of being an employ really worth it in the long run
The challengesToo many strict rules that might limit your actions/freedom for creativity Too many forms and hierarchy of management approval to get in order for something to be done

work here if you want the money
The good thingsflexible working hour, nice office ergonomics, nice pantry, everyone came from top university
The challengesflexible working hour is double edge sword: your meeting can be at 10pm. competitive: everyone can be working in silo to preserve ideas. lack of technical growth: you can be a great desk engineer or data scientist or powerpoint engineer. great at presenting but lack in real engineering during site implementation.

Good pay but lack of technical objective
The good thingsGood pay for fresh graduates (competitive with other oil and gas player), good office ergonomics. flexible working hour but at a price of your work life balance.
The challengeslack of technical goal: you can be a great powerpoint engineer or data scientist, but not a real technically savvy engineer. can be stressful: colleagues can be very competitive, individuals work in silo to avoid ideas being pouched. direct manager can be inhumane when giving feedbacks. but, i was fortunate to have good colleagues while others having hard time everyday. working hours: can make us exhausitve, meeting between 8pm-11pm is normal.
