3 to 4 years in the role, former employee
    It began here, in Fairview.
The good thingsWonderful collaboration with teachers in other campuses. System is in place and stable which help most teachers to conduct the T&L better Effective meetings which help teachers to learn, grow and master the IB system. Reasonable working hours and very rarely teachers have to work on the weekends and public holidays Most of the program coordinators and head of subjects are professional, experienced and know their job very well.
The challengesSalary is low and stagnant. No bonuses, no medical benefits Constantly undergo changes here and there, claimed to be improvement but when it is clear some changes are just unnecessary. 6 weeks of school holidays when students are getting 12 weeks holidays due to preparation for the new quarter or academic year.

    Good exposure, low salary
The good thingsChallenging workplace, good learning platform, good colleagues, opportunity to join student expeditions and field trip.
The challengesInconsistencies with the school system and disciplines. Management is not very supportive when it comes to external training opportunities and employees' benefits.

Could be a better working place if they can improve on their management
The good thingsFellow colleagues are friendly,You can use the swimming pool on certain days.Nice staff room.
The challengesSalary is okay but the given work is non-stop.You have endless meetings, duties (Before school starts, during break and after school). They might change your responsibilities as they wish if you do not perform according to their standards. If you question them, you will have to face the consequences. No room for creativity, you have to follow exactly what is given in the syllabus.Don't expect to rest in-between,because if they see you taking a break and not doing anything, you will be given more work.

    Memorable Experience
The good thingsMultiracial colleagues that give you spirit to work as a team in every task given by employer. in addition, the environment in a school so comfortable during working. Lastly employer and supervisor were highly full of leadership's spirit.
The challengesAs a account executive under payable, you have to be alert with the due payment. You have to make sure that before making the payment the invoices must be verified by authorize person. Furthermore you also need to absorb the pressure since sometimes a lot of urgent payment to be made as soon as possible.

Pro and cons working here. Nice experience to have.
The good thingsOpportunity to learn to become independence. Learning to do multitasking job in education field. Well balance work/life balance. Learning to become creative in problem solving with available sources. Chances to become beyond than the job description (coaching school basketball team).
The challengesMy main challenge that I face is the lack of guidance and support from senior staff when I first come to the company due lot of staff turnover. It push me to become independence in problem solving and organising my library with the available resources. Moreover, due to unfinished works and processes from the past workers I had been burden with unfinished task from the past staffs that work in my post in the past. It will consume lot of my energy and time to recover all of the unfinished jobs and malfunction system that been done in the past.

    More Cons than Pros
The good thingsLots of new things to learn
The challengesEverything will be totally new and they expect you to instantly know everything once you join. Don't really take care of the staffs and ties you down under 3 years contract. Bosses are very demanding and understanding. For them, its just a business! Don't expect much for salary. Lots of conflicts and admin always support parents because parents=income to business

    Good training yet poor management
The good thingsProvide training but it is all come with consequences. Nothing is free.
The challengesHave to be careful with contract offered. Can do anything if managements don't like the persons / go against management will, even though for a good cause of students. Very less benefit.

Good starting for fresh graduate to learn many things

The challengesChallanges working here is if you been appoint to other branch such as me in Subang school. As IT guy you the only person working there and will be many task including teachers that dont have any single IT knowledge they will call you many times even a minor problem.

Poor Employee Welfare and Bad Management System
The good thingsYour co-workers are nice people since we endure the same pressure

    PRO AND CONS
The good thingsThey trained us to be a multitasking employee and it will give us a benefits to our interpersonal skills as well as our communication skills.
The challengesManagement should improve better in term of employee's warfare. They shouldn't put a burden or a pressure towards a teacher. Be sensible and kind to worker in order to create a positive work environment.

The good thingsVery suitable for those who wants to jump start career. Someone who does not have very experience will learn many things because the company have seniors that will take juniors as their assistants. The workers here a fully experienced but they took one or two fresh worker in any department.
The challengesHaving hard time catching up to finish work on time because workload here is heavy. Need to handle 5 branches (5 campuses of Fairview International School) and will be tough on fresh worker with no experience because you are being look as the same with people who had experiences.

The good thingsWonderful students and great colleges, long breaks during school holidays, facilities are up to date as a school. 5 days working week (normally), Some chance to try new things esp in regards to the IB system.
The challengesOffice politics is a killer, Too much of late minute things( CPD, external work) without sufficient notice, lack of quality CPD( not as good as they will claim) , management priorities need improvement( labs made from metal tables etc)
