    Funai Malaysia R&D Sdn. Bhd. (Formerly known as Broadtec TV R&D Center Sdn. Bhd.) was established on 26 September 2007 as R&D center for Funai Electric Company Ltd. Japan. The company is responsible for the Design & Development of Funai TV Products. Funai Malaysia R&D is 100% subsidiary of Funai Japan.Currently the company is expanding to increase development capacity to take over the key development products in Japan.HistoryFunai Malaysia R&D Sdn. Bhd. was formerly part of Funai Electric Malaysia Sdn Bhd located in Pasir Gudang, Johor. In 2006 Funai decided to change their investment from manufacturing with labor intensive to Value added R&D in order to take full advantage the skill of Engineers in Malaysia. The R&D was established in 2006.Moved to the new office at Permas Jaya in September 2007 and renamed as Broadtec TV R&D Center Sdn Bhd.On March 2012, through commitment under Funai Brand, our corporate name has been changed to FUNAI MALAYSIA R&D SDN BHD. The new company name was introduced as a piece of our endeavour to attain a reliable and solid R&D hub across the entire Funai group of companies.
