Poor management and no career advancementThe good thingsGreat relationship building built among fellow program officers, lots of roadtrips to Orang Asli villages. You are working directly on the ground with the beneficiaries and build meaningful relationship with the villagers.
The challengesThe management doesn't appreciate employee feedback, but see it as a personal attack. Very calculative management with almost zero employee benefit. Do expect to get burned out from the frequent long trips and heavy work load. In sum, no medical benefit, late salary payment, no increment & promotion. Employees are easily replaceable and that's why there is a high turnover rate.
