Gaining experience & skills VS sacrificing work life balance
The good thingsYou will learn a lot working here. Your job scope is not only limited to your title.
The challengesThis place is great for gaining experience and learning new skills. Working with the community is incredibly fulfilling. However, in various projects, everyone ends up with too many responsibilities and roles, making it hard to focus and spreading us too thin. Moreover, management can be demanding and have unrealistic expectations without fully grasping the situation on-site.

It's not just a career, it is a lifelong passion
The good thingsFor those who love travelling and helping others, this is a job for you. Their work extends not only in urban areas but rural areas as well. Surrounded by many experienced staff from all walks of life, working there is adventurous and exciting. There is also a chance to meet with other colleagues from West Malaysia and Singapore as well so travelling rocks!
The challengesAs my headline says, this is not just career. For us, we call it a mission. Prepare to be away from family and time will be mostly spent on tasks at hand. Adaptation is key since you can be almost everywhere (where the job is required). Time management is essential as the NGO works like clockwork and like i mentioned, its a mission, so be ready for working during weekends as well.
