You are better off elsewhereThe good things- Some staff are friendly and welcoming.
- Salary is paid on time.
- Depending on department, work-life balance is quite fair.
The challenges- Disorganized/inexperienced management: Inefficient and unconducive environment. No SOPs and business guidelines. Also adverse to WFH, even when systems are down staff are still expected to come in and utilise their own resources to work.
- Poor career development: no opportunities granted for exposure when it literally costs nothing to allow staff to observe and learn. Work assignments are ad hoc and little feedback is provided. Waste of time if you are seeking to learn and climb the corporate ladder.
- Poor employee welfare: Lack of concern for welfare and development, ie promotions, increments and bonuses are NOT standard practice, disregard for pandemic MOH recommendations, non-inclusive discussions.
- Toxic, political and unmeritocratic senior management: All of the above can be attributed to this reasons.
- High turnover rate: staff turnover like a revolving door. Unsurprising given all of the above.
- Overall, you would expect much higher standards of a listed company. I strongly urge job seekers to think twice before applying here.
