A supportive and respectful workplace that values work-life balance, offers fair pay, and encourages collaboration without rigid hierarchies.
The good thingsWorking at HWUM has been a very positive experience. The environment is inclusive and respectful – everyone is treated equally, regardless of role or seniority. It’s refreshing to be part of a workplace where hierarchy doesn’t get in the way of collaboration, and every voice is valued. The salary package is also quite competitive, with salaries that are slightly above the industry average, which is a great plus. Benefits are solid, and there’s a real focus on work-life balance and employee wellbeing.
The challengesThere’s always room to grow – some processes could be more streamlined, and internal communication could be improved in a few areas. But overall, these are minor and being worked on.

    Hectic Workload
The good thingsFriendly environment within different departments.A good initiative to cultivate happiness campus for students and happiness working place for staffs.
The challengesLack of manpower and high turnover rate, cause the heavy workload and constant multitasking environment. Encounter decreasing in focus and learning, increase stress levels and the heavy workload focus more in the tasks that not related to job scope/ doesn't help to achieve KPI.

    Strive for greatness
The good thingsIt is a global campus and we can gain work experiences through communicating with our counterparts in UK and Dubai. Flexible work environment and the location is great without traffic jam.
The challengesEveryday is challenging because this campus can be considered as new and there are lacks here and there which hopefully there will be great improvements as the time goes by. Hopefully no more biased or favoritism among employees/employers, more flexible in terms of what the employees think it is good for the company.

Great place for balanced work and life
The good thingsi had best experience in learning new things. Also with helpful colleagues it made it a conducive environment. The fusion of british and asian culture added more value to it. Well set up online system at EBS(Edinburgh Business School) contributed to smooth workflow.
The challengesRed tape between departments and at times miscommunication between upper management made certain decision to be on hold for long time.

    Uk Campus as per say!
The good thingslake view campus.... UK certificates.
The challengesinnovation is expected without any support or guidance. Management is not practising good leadership skills. The turnover defines that well. Plus, changes happen gradually...with proper planning and support not overnight just to hit the number... this aint business its Education.... if new pedagogies being embedded modules offered need to be supported. hence, the assessment need to match. It defeat the purpose when everythg else is transformational but assessment and exam remained the same! pointless....

    dim and light in Hwum
The good thingsA VERY NICE landscape as it faces the lake ,good for evening & morning walk. Salary is good not too high and not too low. Some of the application is good to use by staff such as the emailing, printing and various 21st century technological stuff to be assed.
The challengesBlaming game : Superior level sometime cannot handle stress then tend to put the blame game to their team. no cooperation sometime in a team the upper decides when and what should do but not updated to the person that should do. No freedom to voice out your opinion i. silent treatment is a big thing due to un favor of one person to the other person game.
