    The challengesTop management lacks of empathy towards the sales team, doesn't care about their challenges. Support is just something they say to make you feel better. Managers doesn't have patience to guide a new joiner and criticize them to others. When it comes to sales, always there will be issue of sales sharing. Notice on the high turnover rate, and yet the company don't bother about it, will brush it off as if it's the candidate's problem.

    Great working place and culture
    The good thingsOne thing I found really good about Hilti is it's working culture. Colleagues and bosses are helpful. Acknowledging small/big wins and efforts. A great training programme is provided to enable you to kick-start your role well. Also I find there is work life balance and benefits are good.

    The good thingsThey will compensate you well if you are able to achieve the target.
    The challengesToxic politics in the mid-management and the high management would just take good feedback and ignore the feedback from the lower ground. Management say you can leave the company if you dont feel happy or buy in their decision.

    The good thingsamazing teammates, overall work culture is great.
    The challengesCareer growth opportunities are only awarded to those who are of a certain personality type, "visibility" and being able to manoeuvre office politics will reward you. Also had a bad experience with certain higher management figures, as false confidential information was shared publicly to other team members unnecessarily. "Caring" culture for sure but only to a certain extent, so be wary of what information is shared to your higher ups.

    The good thingsI've joined Hilti for 2 years. In these 2 years, I got to explore a lot of opportunities especially internal promotion and self-development. I learnt a lot of skills through Hilti in-house learning academy, mentorship programs and internal development programs. I really enjoy working here as we perform, communicate, work together and respect each other.
    The challengesWe are caring and also performance driven company, we work together with a focus on high performance. The best part is people in Hilti always make sure they give enough support to you, the collaboration and teamwork in Hilti is on another level.

    Good Rewards for Performers
    The good thingsIf you perform well in the company, you can get promoted very fast. My colleague got promoted twice in 3 years since joining as fresh graduate and is now a manager. Commission reward for sales is also very attractive if you could hit your sales target.

    The good thingsI just joined Hilti not long ago. As a new account manager, company sent me to Singapore for training and organised many sports activities. I like the engagement and development opportunity here. Benefits are good, company provides medical benefit for employee and family members. So far so good for me.

    The challengesSpeechless of the current management, no direction and no communicated from top to bottom. I work here for almost 8 years and never get promoted. Plan to resigning soon and now for the daily work i never follow and fulfilled, just simply fill the blank promises

    The good things1. Good team work within own team, willing to help each other & working towards the same goal 2. Monthly Meal allowance, yearly annual dinner, kick-off meeting, team building session & car parking allocation
    The challenges1. Lack of transparency: no fixed criteria for a permanent job conversion 2. Limited career advancement, as most of the top management position hold by HQ counterpart 3. Lots of politic agenda to tackle, in order to get work done

    Hilti Malaysia is very progressive and structured which enables one to work with a sense of gaining experience in their field of work through both internal training and on field experiences.
    The good thingsThere is great clarity from the organization to each employee's role and targets . On top of that, training via classroom setting and also on the field experiences are incorporated into each individual's pipeline to ensure that the value and identity of the company is translated the same to our customers and counterparts.
    The challengesAs there is great dependence among the various departments, there could be more collaborative activities such as Field Rides and open days that would allow clarity and transparency to be communicated to employees, customers and other suppliers.
