Would Not Recommend to work at Claims Department
The good things- Benefit - Meal Allowance - Transportation is easy. Bus is provided from LRT
The challengesNo work life balance. Also the boss screams at you even if you didn’t do anything wrong. Also, you have to work during holiday, weekends. Once I got a call at 10 pm on Friday to do a report. Look at my salary, does it suits the workload?

consistency is key. Do not always quit because it's not an easy job but if you have the right leader and guidance, you'll make it through. Don't just enter this industry to think you'll instantly make insane amount of money because you don't. It takes time so decide properly and get down to business.
The good thingsCool colleagues and great learning experience in the view of communication and customer loyalty.
The challengesRejection is every day, need to push through it. I did quit but I came back and if you feel down, just get back up. Adjust and attack.

    Worst Organization (Micro Management)
The good thingsNothing to shout out about.
The challengesThere is currently no empowerment in this organization under the current higher management. Everything is micro managed right until the ground level and work which can be completed at the fastest time possible is delayed due to this higher management micro management. MUST LEARN TO EMPOWER STAFF whose are subject matter experts in their respective work and they can work much efficiently minus this micro management.

The good thingsThe company really pays you well. They treat their employees excellently. If you want work-life balance, you can work here. The benefits are a lot. Everyone pretty much just do their own work. It's pretty lay back.

    Great Learning Curve
The good thingsCouldn't really give much feedback because I have only worked for about 3 months temporarily. I worked as a temporary clerk under the Claims Department, bosses and colleagues are nice (normal big corporate company relationship). No unfair treatment and no extra treatment, hence wake up work go back home routine. Nothing much.
The challengesThe working environment is unfriendly but can't really rant about it as all cooperate companies work like that.

    gain more experience
The good thingsComing into this position, I felt that I had no idea where my career was going and I lacked confidence about what I could do and what I am really good at. My internship has definitely given me a better understanding of my skill set and where my career may take me, but most importantly, I’ve come to learn that I am not alone. This job has taught me that almost everybody is in my same position. Very few college students know what they want to do, and it is something that is simply not worth worrying about. Thanks to my I know that if I continue to work hard things will fall into place.
The challengesThis being my first position in an office atmosphere, I didn’t know exactly what to expect. The environment here at Experience is quite relaxed, yet it taught me how to behave in the workplace. Simply working in the office and getting used to everything here has definitely prepared me for whatever my next position may be. Just observing the everyday events has taught me more about teamwork, and how people can come together to get things done. Although sometimes I have to remind myself to use my inside voice, I feel I’ve adapted to the office life relatively well.

Objective overview on the working culture
The good thingsProfessional agency development staffs that provide first hand assistant to agency force in a timely manner. Besides, the management is very helpful and resourceful in its operation. In addition, the culture of high efficiency yet tolerance can be seen throughout each level of management.
The challengesOne will have to be hardworking and stay meaningful in the role assigned, such working environment may be challenging for workers who tend to 'settle down' in the firm for decades as there is no room for a laid back workplace here. Nonetheless, such working culture is an excellent environment for those who regard him/herself as an extraordinary talent.

A reputable local life insurance company
The good thingsEmployees get to learn how to process insurance claims along with its rules and regulations and procedures in compliance with established BNM's guidelines and standard expected from a financial institution. Definitely a good stepping stone for those who wanna work in life insurance sector.
The challengesHeavy workload is definitely a challenge in this particular department. Compounding to this issue is the lack of staffs to relieve the already heavy daily number of cases everyone has to handle in this department.

    Outdated and disorganized
The good thingsGood bonus. No defined and exact target to be achieved by the team in a whole basis.
The challengesSystem/technology is outdated. Underwriters are expected to do everything from A-Z even without proper guidelines from the respective department such as finance. Lack of career/work development. Just do 45 cases a day, that's it. Lack of staff appreciation from mgmnt. Aside from bonus, no OT claim rate. No proper coaching hence they do not take fresh grads. Underwritingwise, it is not standardized and organized properly. Staffs are still looking for information on rules etc from emails of 5-6 years ago. No PIC for updates on current rules every once in a while.
