The best parts of working at the company were the team members who were great at providing help to newcomers such as myself and to others. Other than that, it was also an interesting experience working with the project and customer as the experience from interacting from both sides were beneficial for the development of my future career.The good thingsAble to learn about the process of telecom project management such as the technical site planning phase, team/subcontractor site assignment phase, team site deployment phase and customer acceptance phase. Obtained a lot of communication and team management skills and knowledge from Huawei's project management seniors. Project team were very helpful in providing guidance to newcomers and less experienced project team members. Company provides bonuses based on performance and compensation for weekend/holiday work. Many different and useful office/kitchen amenities provided by the company such as free snacks and refreshments. Employee health insurance is also available. Quick and fast moving management which helps in solving issues faced by project team ie. hiring more resources for additional project support.
The challengesLong working hours due to high workload (difficult to balance between work and life). Unbalanced work distribution among different project teams where specific regions have more projects/sites to monitor and deploy. Difficulty in multitasking and management many different types of work and subcontractor teams. Stressful environment due to rushed project and tight deadlines which requires very good multitasking skill and attention to detail.
