It's hard to get promoted, too many inter-dept dramas, too many layers of approvals delay the work
The good thingsLots of club activities, trainings, and classes to join
The challengesSimplify approval levels, processes, and governance. Take care of non-clinical staff too, especially job growth.

If you are looking for WLB (Work-life balance), please look at another company. please belive me.
The good thingsA dedicated Heart Centre. A lot of complex cases can be learned here.
The challengesThe core challenge stemmed from internal departmental issues, particularly within the management culture. The environment was marked by micromanagement and a lack of professionalism, which hindered both career progression and personal growth. Opportunities for development, such as training in new modalities, were limited and delayed, often due to a restrictive mindset that discouraged staff empowerment. The workload was consistently overwhelming, with minimal support for work-life balance. Additionally, the compensation structure lacked transparency, with bonus disbursements being inconsistent and uncertain.

IJN is a huge name. But due to rigid management and refusal to take new ideas, it is slowly falling apart. They cant compete with new growing hospitals which have much better and nicer facilities and equipments which is a shame. Too much to do. And actually it can be done if they're open in giving chances to juniors which have much better insights and overview to make the company flourish even further.
The good thingsFocuses only on cardiac cases
The challenges- No work and life balance at all - Internal politic is too toxic - No/too little opportunities in career growth (seen from seniors who have even worked for 17 yrs) - staff turnover rate is too high (almost 200 in a year) - bonus is just 2 months same as other hosp - understaffed, will have to work double shifts frequently - management is too rigid - hosp doesnt know how to gain revenue, trying to cut out staff's benefit/bonus - govt culture - work system is hectic - environment is not healthy - staffs voices unheard
