Harsh Environment and Risk of Career GrowthThe good thingsGood allowance like overtime rate, meal and semi-flexible working time.
Stable and High demand company business.
Good bonus (0-4 months) depends on working effort that easily noticed by supervisor and manager.
Promotion need to go thru good management review on KPI achievement.
The challengesDeal with harsh environment with a lot of dangerous chemical ,no ergonomic chair if work on-site and no personal laptop, need to use own personal phone as to record personal data and communication tool (only send 2 email within 1 year). 24/7 working culture due to personal phone as working tool.
Rushing of output 24 hours with limited manpower so engineer will worked as lead technician and troubleshooting machine as equipment engineer as another dept engineer won't help most of the time.
Engineer if want to learned whole process of manufacturing, need to promote until supervisor level just can chance to find root cause of process or else only can follow supervisor leading to do testing on machine and follow instruction.
Lack of machinery to do testing on quality of product, required to walk back and forth around 200meter every shift to ensure quality of product is fine that caused insufficient manpower issue. Sometimes if machine got problem, it required to walk 3-4 times by technician or engineer per shift and quality of product is affected.
No guidance by supervisor regarding on personal annual kpi achievement, they prefer you work as hand-on solving problem than giving you chance to learn another process as poor management on career growth.
