It has been a great life experience being practical here. The good thingsAfter going through 24 weeks of industrial training in Jimah, I obtain a lot of knowledge and experience which could not obtain from the books and university instead. In Jimah, I feel free to observe the engineers working environment and could learn the proper way to carry out the involved technical tasks. This experience can surely bring me advantages in the future when I pursuing working career.
Besides, the practical in Jimah has also provided me a chance to improve and polish my soft skills. I learned to have the correct attitudes and behaviors when communicating with other people and carrying out engineers’ responsibility. It definitely will help me a lot when I entering into the real career world with the improvement of those soft skills.
The challengesJimah Power Plant is a place which is dominant by male workers so as a minor female engineering practical student at Jimah, I have challenged myself to be a tough person, not easily give up and being commitment in conducting tasks.Besides, as a practical student I have to be able to think critically and logically to analyze and solve problems arisen immediately. Moreover, I have to arrange my daily time schedule between work and life balance so that I will not become stressful to undergo practical in a quite challenging working life engineering environment.
