There's No Work Life Balance, Low Salary with do so many tasks (the daily tasks and the salary no balance)
The good thingsYou can have an experience communicate with international people and also you can explore more about the types of Books.
The challengesYou must remembered well where is the book if the customer ask you. You must get know what kinds of books that the store have even the store and department have 1000 more of books and author. You must move along to do some tasks even though there is no tasks to do and the hour of the rest is only 1 hour.

    Repetitive, stressful to work
The good thingsnot stuck in 1 area
The challengesHave SOP in black and white, not just word of mouths. Management priorities customers over staffs. When things go wrong, the employees are always on the wrong, even in situations that doesn't involve the customer. Instead of hiring more people, I had to balance 3 people jobs, along with many others in the company

Salary is not worth the workload you have to do. Some customers are so rude.
The good thingsSome of the staff are helpful and friendly.
The challengesSalary is the main important. To work at klcc, everything is so expensive. You can't even survive to be honest. No MC, no annual leave. No basic salary. No medical benefits. We don't even get bonus. More workload, less salary

    Interesting and understanding place
The good thingsThey accommodate well to a student's Uni schedule and are lenient with Part timers when it comes to missing a day's work due to sickness/exams. Overall a good place for students looking for a part-time job. The staff are generally nice and understanding.
The challengesFor the work area(KLCC) I do think a higher pay would be nice. 6/h is still on the low side. The allowance for the food is also low since the food around KLCC is very expensive.

I love the working environment and the people I working with. Most of them have a very positive attitude, full of knowledge offer. But the benefit and salary does not fulfilled my economical needs and future planning.
The good thingsWorking environment is the best. Teamwork. Knowledgeable.
The challengesManagement concept and perspective. Salary and benefit.

    just okay
The good thingsLearned more about books and cultivate my reading habits, but if this your first time working experience is consider to be okay to improve your communication skills.
The challengesDisplay a lot of books and yet some of the books can't be displayed because of limited space in the shelf and the size of the book, at least need to have a browsing copy so the staff doesn't need to unwrapped the books for number of times. Customers can be challenging too and I think management can be improve

Provides opportunities to develop a sense of professionality
The good thingsUnderstanding colleagues, especially in the Human Resources department. Heads of Department who are very willing to provide assistance and guidance even to new staff. Job scope is not too complicated, and skills required can be picked up relatively easily with practice.
The challengesEnvironment could be improved through maintaining electricity utilities, cleanliness, connectivity through internet.

    Best place for book lovers!
The good thingsStaff discount. Being so near with books. The smell of books when you start working and after you left working. Many events were planned for staff benefits. Good career advancement. Has year-end bonus, annual dinner and salary increment.
The challengesYou have to spend a lot on meals because you are having lunch at the heart of K.L. Transportation is an issue, with traffic jams and train delays/malfunctions. Sometimes, roads get closed off due to special events.

    Best First Job Experience
The good thingsEverything about the company is pretty brilliant. The management is hassle free and they really take care of the employees. The work environment is light and comfortable and there is no pressure. Employees are able to mingle with each other and have fun with the job.
The challengesYou are about to face different customers everyday, thus it gets challenging. You can't never expect the kind of people you will meet in a day.

    Good environment
The good thingsmanager respect employees as individuals, in addition to the job they do. Good working environment. Friendly coworkers. Staff discount. Flexible time table for part-time can be discussed.
The challengesa bit difficult for the first time employees to handle customer behavior especially kids. Need to be more patience, 100% energy, 100% stamina and try to learn another language especially when dealing with foreigner from japan, korean, china. It's better if management provide a multilanguage lesson for staff.
