    Good Learning Opportunity
The good thingsGood learning opportunity from working in litigation; exposure to high profile cases; polish your research, drafting skills, diligence and meticulousness; good library and online resources; associates get along well; socializing events available; Suitable for fresh graduates who are determined, passionate for a career in litigation and accept challenges as a part of their journey.
The challengesChallenges dealing with different supporting departments; working beyond your billed hours, work stress and lack of flexibility; the system for knowledge sharing can be improved; open workspace, central AC will be turned off after 5pm; Your overall experience will vary from working in different teams, whether the salary is worth the challenges is subjective.

    Good place to gain experience
The good thingsGood company to gain experience. If you get good or best partner or lawyer, you can be in one good team.
The challengesPolitic between secretary. Senior and junior even in one team. Unfortunately the different of seniority just one year. Lawyer like do last minute request. Especially during end of the day e.g Friday or before lunch.

    Great Litigation Department
The good thingsThe resources and support provided to lawyers were abundant allowing for time to do substantial work. Exposure to high profile and complex matters were common.
The challengesHigh learning curve, working culture requires one to adapt to the team and style of his or her superior.

Experience was needlessly stressful at times.
The good thingsThe scope of work, independence and the efficiency of the office staff.
The challengesThe high levels of stress due to unnecessarily high expectations placed on junior associates without any guidance provided.

It is challenging and rewarding at the same time
The good thingsThe Human Resource team took care of the associates well and Partners are always engaged with us by organizing social lunches and drinks within the firm to bond the associates.
The challengesThey should allocate interns to designated teams instead of placing them in one room.

    Good place to learn
The good thingsThere are plenty of opportunities for self-development, and the firm gives you the space and facilities to grow. Partners are also supportive of your growth in the firm.
The challengesPartners might be too busy to guide you step-by-step. You may have to figure out the ropes yourself at the beginning.

    Useful Learning Experience
The good thingsI enjoyed the people and the attempt to make the firm feel more like a family than just a place to work. They pay on time, make it clear what is expected from you on a general level. Working in litigation, the biggest resource to draw on, besides the law library and their database for samples, is the people who have much to offer in terms of practical advice and ideas.
The challengesWorking in general banking litigation, the prospects for career advancement was grim, and the turnover was very high. The year I entered was a record year for people leaving the firm. I was handed over 200 files without being given any guidance as to how to deal with old matters.

    Horrible work place
The good thingsMy direct report was the Managing Partner. He was a good and reasonable boss but he has since left the firm as well.
The challengesSupport staff were treated as third class citizens. A very obvious class distinction & there was no mingling or social interaction between the partners and the staff. Horribly demoralising. The partners treated lawyers like they were gold; But would refuse any advise from the Heads of Depts even though they were top professionals in their field. In 2 years, they had 4 different heads of HR.
