Although it might be a great start for your game development career, but due to the layoff issue, the work ethics is very bad in this way, which cause employees feel like wasting time to work there or breaking their dream to work in game development field
The good thingsAn opportunity to get to work in game development
The challengesWork ethics issue due to layoff. There's a chance you might get laid off by the studio, even you have worked for few months, but no more than 6 months

The stepping stone of the career
The good thingsThe coworkers are great and friendly, easy to communicate despite we had a time of Working from Home. Very supportive in terms of project management. Managers are always there for us too if needed guidance. Benefits and perks for employee are great too considering there's dental, optical and others claim available (gym membership and etc).
The challengesThe communication between coworkers and managers are great, however I do feel lack of support from upper management and often got ignored on employee's contribution during my employment period. Salary adjustments/bonus and career development wasn't that much as well for coordinators, however, it could be my performance wasn't up to expected or the company are more focusing on the employees that are directly contributing to their profit.

    Great working environment
The good thingsCoworkers are incredibly friendly and helpful. Any assistance needed will be provided whenever possible, and my lead is very encouraging. Depending on work performance, bonuses and raises are generally good. If there are several projects, the company is kind enough to give additional. Overall, it's a great place to work.
The challengesNo proper corporate culture since it is an animation studio based. Sometimes got communication problems between departments since no proper process flow was written and implemented in the first place.

    Good as a Stepping stone
The good thingsNice colleagues to work with
The challengesToo many involvements from other departments. Top management tends to trust people with MNC experience instead of considering these people can actually work with the team.

    Unclear direction
The good thingsOffice rules are pretty lax.
The challengesCompany expanded too quickly without setting up a base. Management wants to do things that the company at present cannot achieve and will not accept no for an answer.
