Working for an international schoolThe good thingsThe company offers pretty good benefits in terms of providing medical benefits, dental and lunches for staff. Staff were encouraged to work within the working hours and there weren't much overtime unlike many other companies that I worked for previously. If you are on leave, your superior would not call or email you at all during your break.
The challengesThe company at times fail to understand the local culture that it operates in. There also seems to be a invisible line separating the local and expatriate staff e.g. lunches in the hall for example would see expatriate staff sitting at one table and local staff at another. When you drive out from the school, expatriate staff's cars would not be checked by the guards but not so for the local staff.
