Do not join. Save yourself the trouble.
The good thingsLuckily my branch was good. Other peer were not that lucky. Nothing good.
The challengesTerrible incentives. Low salary. Benefits non-existent. Allowance higher than industry so that they don’t pay EPF. Allowance ONLY paid out given 50% KPI achieved. Package NOT competitive at all

    Bad and disappointing experience
The good thingsNot sure what's good
The challengesHigh sales target, but very low commission better go to other bank if you want to get more in terms of commission, region push like crazy and don't appreciate staff, not worth sacrificing anything just for that position

To gain experience in a bad way, here's the place. Only this branch i think, not sure about the other branches
The good thingsNot heavy volume of customers
The challengesShort of staff contract staff being asked to do what they can't do, usually need to do a report and other task that mostly permanent staff's task. Poor management overtime not paid, but they were indirectly push you to settle the work but I was being strict and just go back on time Put too much pressure on contract staff Asked to help with the sales Slow reply from HR sides, asked a few things to HR but one of the person who arrange us didn't even reply, do a report about management wrongdoing but also no reply.

Good for fault tolerance systems enterprise architecture, think twice if you only want to focus on deep technical/coding skills
The good thingsBonus is thick if you are an excelling employee with a great boss who values your work and is willing and able to fight for your worth. There are plenty of systems for you to explore even though they are old and with outdated technology, it is still interesting to have national-level projects to work with. Being able to support the things that you use on a day-to-day basis is also an interesting experience.
The challengesCareer progression is slow in the early years but may shoot forward if you continue to excel in consecutive years. Outdated technology in the bank is still, however, the largest challenge for IT professionals that want to experience the latest technology. The low base salary is also something that should be improved for fresh graduates to value their opportunities in the company more.

The good thingsTons of new knowlege, good working environment especially the benefits e.g. bonus and yearly increament. Maybank have many fresh graduate program to offer.
The challengesFast pace, lots of legacy system which required automation and integration, higher expectation from management and sometimes you need to have own effort to catch-up the work task.

Internal processes too long to get something approved.
The good thingsGood benefits. Stable company.
The challengesThe processes here has a lot of red tape. A lot of layers. So there is a long approval process. It can be frustrating. And your experience working here will depend on your boss's behaviour.

Great benefits from top management but HOD has great influence over your work experience
The good thingsGreat benefits. HR also always come up with programmes for employee development
The challengesCompany should supervise their employee's wellbeing. The HOD was very micro-managing, no chance to work independently or contribute in giving suggestions. Long work hours, sometimes till midnight and during weekend. Poor work life balance.

The challengesSpeaking from a trainee perspective, I wished they would give further opportunities to become a permanent employee or ensure some form of job security.
