    Expose to multiple process units including utilities which provide ample engineering experience.
    The good thingsAlot of engineering experience. Just a matter of how willing you are to take the lead and charge.
    The challengesDon't expect to be spoonfed on becoming an engineer. Alot of exposure relies on own initiative and taking oppurtunities

    OCIM culture has clear hierarchical structures in it, and the Korean work culture is no different. While there may be some confusion sometimes over what your actual job position is, it's always clear where you stand in the food chain. And the higher, the better.

    Good place to start your career
    The good thingsI gained a lot of experience although I have only worked for less than 1 year. Depending on your department, you might be busy or not. But as for my position, I am only busy for a certain time of a year.
    The challengesDue to market recession, there is no increment and bonuses offered to the worker. For my department, working is easy but unlike other departments, they will face many challenges. Salary is so-so for fresh graduates but I'm still content with the amount. Workplace politics are normal here. Management and benefits can be improved.

    The challengesCommunication with Korean and Japanese staff are not really good. They cannot understand well and cannot accept other local staff explanation/idea.

    The good thingsthe shift pattern give us more time to rest in a week. Colleague also very supportive and always helping when its come to work.
    The challengesspoken English with the Korean staff and how to working with them because their working culture is different from Malaysia.
