I am Very Commited to work that I assigned and willingly to gain more knowledge and seek more experience for my future career world in the hospitality industry
The good thingsThe Hotel Puteri Pacific is a very busy hotel and it is connected to Persada International Convention Centre..I have learned the overall operations from the scratch, from preparations of food to the presenting the food to the customers..Quality is the most important thing for overall operations and it must meet the standard & specifications related.
The challengesBeing a commis Chef needs is not simply doing what i assigned for,but at the same time, ensure all the foods are in good condition,well-arranged and organized to meet up customers' expectations. Plus, foods that to be presented should be eye-catchy yet delicious to get customers attraction because i believe we are eat with our eyes first..So,foods must be well presented..

I feel very happy to have worked at this hotel bacuse I learned dealing with people and i managed to improve my communication skills.
The good thingsMy supervisor taught me how to handle's customers, communicate with them nicely and teach everything that should or should not do when dealing with people. In addition, my manager, supervisor, and colleagues became a good example to me by showing good characters.
The challengesThe working environment in Persada Hotel is happening, however some of the workers still practicing seniority and juniority while working. In my opinion, this kind of culture should not be exist in any industry because it can cause discrimination among the junior workers and it is also can prevent them from advancing themselves.

    My day at the hotel
The good thingsAll of the college were really friendly and very helpfull, even the relationship with the top manager were great. The working environment were also good. Besides, the hotel's canteen provide free food for all sraffs.:) my salary was good enough plus with high OT paid which RM7 per hour. This is the place for part time job for me.
The challengesDuring peak hour or time such as during school holiday, many peoples stay at the hotel and the cafe will full house with craving people. So, it would be really busy and quite stress to handle a lot of people.
