Overall Experience at Quest International University
The good thingsCertain academicians are humble and prepared to solve arising issues rather than magnifying it. Professionals who know how to carry themselves like a leader and inspire others. (yet they do not get the recognition from the top management).
The challenges1. Office politics 2. Even small issues are criticised in front of other colleagues. 3. Normalising coercive culture 4. By hook or crook, the given task must be completed 5. Lack of work-life balance 6. Lack of respect given to all. 7. Those who can play politics can survive well in this environment. 8. Lack of cooperation among all departments. (Just like pineapples, each pineapple carries warmth within, but side by side, their spikes make harmony difficult to achieve)

Improvement in leadership and accountability is much needed.
The good thingsGreat team culture and supportive colleagues. The students are wonderful to teach.
The challengesThe previous HR staff were very kind, professional, and always ready to help. Since the change in HR leadership, there has been a noticeable drop in communication quality, transparency, and overall staff support. Many processes now feel disorganised and delayed, which has affected staff confidence in the department’s management.

    Horrendous & toxic workplace
The good thingsLuckily there are still real academicians working here where we really put into our effort into academic related matters though the number is not much. These real academicians is what keep me going during my tenure here.
The challengesMicromanagement and way too much politics which is not suitable for those who really want to work. Do not expect too much on what they have promise you. No hard feeling on my side, but my one cent is please avoid this toxic working place unless you only targeting high pay. Forget about research, consultancy, etc.

Low paid with never satified management demand
The good thingsthere are some friendly and supportive academic staff
The challengesUnhealthy corporate culture and very centralized organizational structure, low pay, and no bonus or other compensation to reward your contribution, except more demand from management. Anyway, it's a sub-company of a direct-selling QI group. Don't expect they will keep what they say during the interview.

The good thingsThe HR officer are very helpful and the admin and academic staffs are friendly.

Worst ever company I ever worked with
The good thingsSmall department size, so can easily get to speak to the person you look for. Fast documentation process from one department to another. Some talented people in the office but mostly demotivated. Some friendly people here.
The challengesBetter working environment, such as better office culture. Need a better car park for the employee. Management putting many wrong people at the wrong position, especially at the top position. Corporate ladder achieve base on the connection but not the capability. No yearly bonus and very slow increment.
