What’s it like working at Quest International University?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Quest International University benefits from having dedicated academicians and supportive colleagues who are committed to excellence in education. Staff members find satisfaction in teaching and guiding students, and the compensation is considered competitive for the region. Some departments maintain efficient documentation processes and benefit from their small size, allowing for quick communication.

However, the institution faces several operational challenges, including prevalent office politics and micromanagement practices that affect workplace dynamics. The limited opportunities for professional growth and recognition, combined with challenges in interdepartmental cooperation, impact overall employee satisfaction. Staff members also note concerns about the centralised organisational structure and workplace culture.

Overall Experience at Quest International University
The good thingsCertain academicians are humble and prepared to solve arising issues rather than magnifying it. Professionals who know how to carry themselves like a leader and inspire others. (yet they do not get the recognition from the top management).
The challenges1. Office politics 2. Even small issues are criticised in front of other colleagues. 3. Normalising coercive culture 4. By hook or crook, the given task must be completed 5. Lack of work-life balance 6. Lack of respect given to all. 7. Those who can play politics can survive well in this environment. 8. Lack of cooperation among all departments. (Just like pineapples, each pineapple carries warmth within, but side by side, their spikes make harmony difficult to achieve)

The good thingsGood things is work life balance and follow all public holiday.
The challengesFacing to much of toxic people in the campus. Too micro management in internal and external department. A department is lead by a un professional assistant director and playing with to much of office politics

Improvement in leadership and accountability is much needed.
The good thingsGreat team culture and supportive colleagues. The students are wonderful to teach.
The challengesThe previous HR staff were very kind, professional, and always ready to help. Since the change in HR leadership, there has been a noticeable drop in communication quality, transparency, and overall staff support. Many processes now feel disorganised and delayed, which has affected staff confidence in the department’s management.
