The Royal Commonwealth Society (RCS) was founded by the First Prime Minister of Malaysia, Y.T.M.Tuanku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj on 24th May 1962.RCS is a private Members' Club situated in the exclusive area of Damansara Heights in Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur.RCS also supports and promotes the Declaration of Commonwealth Principles and further Declarations issued by the Commonwealth Heads of Government from time to time and to promote the increase and diffusion of knowledge respecting the peoples and countries of the Commonwealth; to maintain the best traditions of the Commonwealth; and to foster unity of thought and action in relation to matters of common interest and also establish a place of meeting for the purpose of conducting the business of the Society and providing facilities for Members of the Society to share in social, swimming and recreational activities of all kinds.
