Honest review of working in SSB
The good thingsTraining opportunities & access to global technical experts Career development opportunity as wide range of projects available Lots of staff benefits (medical, optical, dental, healthy lifestyle etc) Good salary Some degree of freedom in terms of dresscode, formality. People rarely call their superior 'sir, madame etc' Mostly on first name basis. So quite relaxed environment to work in.
The challengesThe emphasis on 'visibility' which may cloud people's motivation to deliver quality work. E.g sometimes people are more focused on self-promotion than delivering actual work. The career progression & opportunities available can be highly affected by immediate supervisor. A proactive & progressive supervisor can help you progress further and faster in your career, as he/she will aid you to explore opportunities to close your technical gaps. A complacent/indifferent supervisor might be a roadblock for career advancement.

    Enjoy
The good things1) This Company has sports activity every month & can join Gym once confirmed. 2) Even though, working in admin position, but I've given a chance to experience in many field of job scope such as HR, Procurement, Finance & Sales Admin. 3) Learn to understand the attitude of an individual. 4) Even though the organization is getting bigger, the more you enjoy to face the challenge.
The challengesThe most challenging working in this company is handling a difficult boss. Which you have to be in his shoes before you trying to do/ say something. When you discussing something, you have to make sure that you understand every single thing of what you trying to explain & delivered. The most important part while facing this type of person, we have to be brave & confident of our-self & what you are doing.
